Danny Drinkwater has gone a screwed up again, this time headbutting a Aston Villa teammate on the training ground. That could prove useful training for the next time he goes to  nightclub but the press keep on referring to him as a former Leicester City player. Rather than current Chelsea player. They never refer to Kante as that former Leicester City player. The press can just fuk off, Pisses me off an its not even Monday.

I've also noticed that whenever Daniel Lambert or Joseph Merrick are mentioned, the media always falls over itself to remind everybody that they came from Leicester. No mention of the fact that Lambert also lived in Stamford or that Merrick lived in London. It's like they're trying to make out like everybody from Leicester is either grossly obese or deformed - which is not completely true. It makes my blood boil and I've not even had my second cup of tea this morning yet

There is a probably untrue rumour that Hitler in his younger days briefly lived on Merseyside with his brother.

I've heard that he worked in the Adelphi hotel in Liverpool for a spell. Beryl Bainbridge wrote a novel based on this - but it's probably rubbish. Interesting though.

It's sad to see on a basic human level how he's ended up though, regardless of whether you still identify sympathetically with him as an ex-Leicester player. One bad career choice and he ends up in a seemingly irreversible spiral of self-destruction. Of course it's his fault, but it doesn't make it any less disheartening each time a new story comes out. There but for the grace of God etc...

Not that I'm backing the OP, but his point was surely that Drinkwater is being associated with Leicester despite moving on years ago, and actually being a Chelsea player now. So all this bad behaviour has the clubs name next to it, when he hasn't pulled on a Leicester shirt in over three years.

Pretty much this. He played for us in our greatest ever season, and for those of us who struggle with mental health issues, it is both particularly pertinent and poignant.

I'd much rather have current Leicester City players read about ex-Leicester City player Danny Drinkwater, than ex-Leicester City player N'Golo Kante.

I guess the difference from their perspective is Danny Drinkwater is only known for his time at Leicester, Kante has won the Premier League and World Cup with Chelsea and France.

It's mad but had Drinkwater stayed with us he would have been in and around the first 11 but selling him has allowed us to recruit the likes of Maddison and Tielemans who are well above the levels Drinkwater got to with us. He did fantastically well for us, but he wasn't anywhere near as dynamic imo as the players we now have.
