Popular Post jeffschlupp Posted 17 November 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 17 November 2020 (edited) It's now been 4 weeks since his O Jogo interview where he said he would be in full training within 2 weeks (3 Nov) and his date to return within six weeks, which would be 1 December. I strongly doubt the club will risk a player of his calibre in U23s football, so I would suggest they will be playing him in behind-closed-doors training games (in-house 11v11s or possibly friendlies), with an aim to probably play 45-60 mins against AEK at home on 10 December (hopefully a dead rubber for both teams). I think the Christmas schedule then comes at a good time - they can rotate him into the team when the games come thick and fast for Castagne and Justin. Popular Post StanSP Posted 18 November 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 18 November 2020 Love every time I see him back in training. Just such a relief to see him back in action and just hope he's the same player as he was before...

HighPeakFox Posted 18 November 2020 Share Posted 18 November 2020 It fair improves the mood to see some of the stricken players back training hard. I'm also reminded how much I like so many members of our squad.

When Ricardo finally takes to a competitive game again, the first person to post that Ricardo is not the player he was before his injury; will happen within... 0-30 seconds 30 - 60 seconds 1 - 2 minutes 1

Why has this fraud even been paid his wages all this time? Loan him out to Wigan.
Chocolate Teapot Posted 19 November 2020 Share Posted 19 November 2020 Doubt he will play for the 23s due to not mixing player bubbles.
Blanchflower78 Posted 19 November 2020 Share Posted 19 November 2020 Fingers crossed he hits the ground running, initially took a while to grow when he first joined but what a player he became. Makes a huge difference to us when fit and RWB potentially giving him more license.

That's proven to be highly flawed though given Leshabela and Fitzhugh being with the first team and then playing for the U23's just 3-4 days later.
Lambert09 Posted 19 November 2020 Share Posted 19 November 2020 If you’ve ever gone through a long term injury you’ll know just how long it takes to get back your best. We will definitively need to be patient. Took me about a year to get back to where I was at before. (Obviously Ricardo’s had the best professionals looking after him so won’t be as bad)

I thought so too, but they played in the Papa John's Trophy (Johnstone Paint) last week. Maybe they can go one way (Clean first team > U23s) but not as quickly the other way round unless tested negative first.
