People have been advised not to book holidays overseas to countries still struggling with COVID but who knows if people will listen.

I've booked. You've gotta have some hope or what is the point of existing.

Fvcking bellends. Weeks before restrictions are lifted as well.

Anyone on this thread who has questioned the general twatishness of some part of contemporary British Society, look no further than this.

We are driving down the road towards the lifting of restrictions and these cvnts have staged a big protest? :dunno:

Maybe they don't look at this like you do.

I sincerely hope not

I can only assume they must be bored, or stupid, or probably both

These are the exact points that need answering. In theory, having had the virus is a better protection than the vaccination. However, it has been said that people can be reinfected. If that is the case, what difference does a vaccine make unless you get a yearly top up like the flu?

I am sure we will get closer to answers in about 6 months...

I don't think there's any evidence that shows immunity from natural infection is better than vaccination.

Interestingly enough, there's some early reports that getting the vaccine has cured some people of their long Covid symptoms...

Funny how everybody's definition of bellend would vary.

I have little doubt plenty at this protest are there for a laugh or a rumble. But ultimately, bellend is not my word for anyone at least trying to question the orthodoxy.

But for 12 months now I still get amazed at many people's compliance with, and support of, absurd rules. Plus the general inability (or unwillingness) to work things out for themselves (can I visit my disabled mam in tier 2 for Christmas with my wife's ex partners kids who both have asthma? etc)

Yeah but they can get some great Facebook photos to impress their mates.

Not bored or stupid, just a different view to you. That should be allowed, and their right to protest should be allowed. Pandemic or no Pandemic.

Utter nonsense

If we allow everyone who wants to protest to do so during a pandemic lockdown then we run the risk that getting out of this shiteshow will be delayed further ....

so many good people have died over the past year ahead of their time ....

Notwithstanding the motivations behind the demonstration, it was proved multiple times that outdoor protests didn't lead to any spikes in cases.

Why does this need repeating multiple times, literally every ****ing time we have an outdoor demonstration or someone goes to the parklol

The classic "there will be a spike in cases in 10 days" being thrown about. 30th of March then, let's see.

Yes I'm not doubting that at all. But like others have said there is no evidence that outdoor activities or protests have had any impact on transmission. The government's own advisers have said this.

Interesting approach. Maybe should have read the instructions more thoroughly first.

On a seperate note good to see that the police have listened to the feedback given to then after their rather heavy handed approach to that dangerous women's vigil last weekend, and have decided not to bother policing this protest at all....

tbh, i wouldn’t like the women protesters last week to contract covid whereas I’m more than comfortable for the protesters today to all come down with it .....

What a weird thing for them to say lollol

Guaranteed loads of them would have had the vaccine and are now just plain hypocrites.

So they are anti lockdown but don't want vaccines which will end lockdown.... It's right up there with a guy I saw arguing on Facebook earlier that it was all a conspiracy because cancer kills more people than covid and the government aren't giving us cancer vaccines lol You really couldn't make it up if you tried lol

What about last years Cheltenham Festival? That was shown to be a hotspot of transmission.
