RonnieTodger Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 I'll start by saying that obviously it has impacted people in far more serious ways than cancelling weddings, holidays etc. but it's a chance to have a moan about stuff you had planned. I was buzzing for 2020. Had trips to New York and Malaysia cancelled as well as hoping to go on more European trips with Leicester. Also my first England test match, Sopranos live and I assume Ricky Gervais gigs will get called off in October too.
Innovindil Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 The bloody thing got within temptation/evanescence concert on 1st May cancelled/postponed. Still fuming now. Proper first World problems though.
FerrisBueller Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 My band had a little tour in France that we had to pull, in hindsight it was always gonna be pulled but it was touch and go right up to when it all kicked off properly. Also, I'm meant to be moving country this year, it's brought those plans forward a little bit as we are wary of the country shutting the borders again if we get a big second spike (although admittedly I would probably still get in as a partner). It's mainly the general uncertainty, finding jobs etc.
Jon the Hat Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 My sons 7th Birthday party Easter camping weekend in Corfe Castle, Dorset Work trips to Madrid, Prague, Manchester (at least) Killers at Emirates stadium My Dad's visit from France Selling the house and moving to Australia is now on hold

RowlattsFox Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 My wedding reception, pubs and hotels closed day before the wedding. were able to get married in church but limited numbers honeymoon trip to Budapest Lake District trip for Wife birthday Kasabian Paw Patrol Live Ok, so not all bad Had tickets for the Hundred cricket at Old Trafford That's just stuff we had booked, would probably have gone somewhere around about now. Still got most of those to look forward to though.
Dan.Reynolds Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Stag weekend. Wedding. Holiday to Cyprus Although been a pretty shit time, we did find out we are expecting our first child together, we are having a girl. Due in October.
Unabomber Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 New York in March which I have still not been refunded for. Bon Iver gig who I had been waiting about 10 years to see. Good mates wedding which was meant to be this weekend.
urban.spaceman Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 2020 was the year I was going to sort my life out - get a better (proper) job, lose some weight, stop drinking, see more friends and travel more. That went well lol.
StanSP Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Got engaged to the missus in February (timed that well to avoid lockdown!) but seen each other only twice since then Wedding planning has taken a turn. Just had to arrange everything as quickly as possible to get a date for next year but all virtually, mainly email! Was meant to be in Toulouse on a stag do last weekend. A couple of friends' weddings we were due to attend have been postponed til next year. Was meant to have seen Chris Ramsey and Romesh Ranganathan in April but that's pushed back to next year too.
Stadt Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Arsenal away, Kamakaze at Wellgosh, DMAs in Hull, Night Cafe in Sheffield, Blossoms in Leeds, Kasabian. Was supposed to be doing the Otley run too

Denmark, I think I'll be fine to get in as my partner is Danish and we've been living together a number of years. Yeah that's my main concern too, think it'll be a case of getting any old job to get the money in upon arrival. I'm toying with the idea of going back into education and trying to find a job that aligns with my interests so I'm not consistently miserable. Scary Times.

Finnaldo Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Was planning to go on a Balkans tour- Budapest, Belgrade, Sarajevo & Dubrovnik/Split for 10 days to 2 weeks around July/August time. We were gonna book in March but obviously put it on ice luckily so I’ve not been shortchanged.
Fox92 Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Had Kasabian booked but that's it. Was looking at holidays but got nowhere. Other than that just missed out on the great away games we had left but especially Spurs Been looking forward to go there since it opened (can't believe our visit there will be no fans).
Nalis Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 I havent fared too badly compared to some in all honesty. Friend's wedding in Portugal Atletico Mince live Weekender in Edinburgh All of which are likely to be postponed rather than cancelled to be fair, biggest financial hit is probably losing money on flights back from Portugal. Planned other hols provisionally but didnt book them thankfully. The biggest one for me medium term is probably the postponement of moving out of London by the end of the year , with the job market in my industry grinding to a halt outside of London I will be lucky to move by this time next year.

SemperEadem Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Lads birthday Trip to Bochum A wedding in Edinburgh 3 Gigs Big day on it for Arsenal away A good few days down Grace Road
Milo Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 So far... Friends wedding - weekend away with no kids. Cruise (usually book last minute so not actually out of pocket) Spuds away Amsterdam weekend Oh yeah - Also missed out on a shedload of income In the grand scheme of things, when people have had their lives ruined and loved ones have died, I think I got off pretty lightly.
grobyfox1990 Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Weekend in NYC, 14 days in Nepal, Euro 2020 game in Amsterdam, 4 days in Ibiza, Oktoberfest, a weekend in Margate (!!!). Three gigs (not too bothered about the other two, just Kasabian), two theatre shows, Eng v Aus t20 match. And of course the possibility of watching Leicester in Europe. Annoying, but will have to really go all out in 2021 to make up for it.
Crinklyfox Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 Seeing family Shopping Socialising Bowling Holiday
nnfox Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 I was supposed to be going to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend.

He’s a better MC than he is a footballer but to have decent careers in both is impressive
Izzy Posted 11 June 2020 Posted 11 June 2020 It's my wife's 50th in September. Hopefully all this carries on until at least then so I don't have to take her away on an expensive trip to celebrate
