Seems quality, but you also see plenty of managers do brilliantly at one club then try to make the step up to a bigger club or whatever it just doesn’t work out for whatever reason. I’m always reluctant to believe the hype around new managers until they’re tried and tested at more than one club and for more than one season.

Eddie Howe, for example, been spoke about for years, but personally wouldn't touch him.

To be fair to Wilder he's been a success at pretty much every club he's been at. Think he got back to back promotions with Northampton then went to Sheffield United and got them promoted either first or second season then promoted again after two seasons in the championship. Every time he's made the step up he's improved a club and can only see him going further.

I like Sheff Utd but I want to see tears stream from Sean Bean's face into a cup of freshly brewed Yorkshire Tea.

He would have died before this happens.

chris wilder has been a class act this season

Its a shame they were robbed of four points at spurs and villa otherwise they would still be for a shout of the champions league.

It's a bloody good job if you ask me! They're close enough to us at it is!

Ffs we are locked down  in Leicester but they are allowed to breach into the red zone to play football.

It’s out of order, do they not realise if we play like we did at Bournemouth we can’t even go to the pub to drown our sorrows, have any retail therapy fook all 😂

Word on the street is we've got a debutant coming in tonight.

I am guessing that he doesn't mean this in a good way...

Ohhh, Luke Thomas surely? With Fuchs moving to CB if we don't want to play Bennett. Absolutely should not be bringing a rusty morgan into the mix tonight.

Good evening everyone and welcome to our guests from Sheffield United to King Power Stadium for our penultimate home game of this unique 2019/20 season.

Recent results have certainly left us with work to do in order to ensure we finish in a position that reflects the possibilities we have created for ourselves this season. There is no doubt that, when the season began, being where we are with three games to go is a position we would have been very happy with. However, striving to exceed expectations is something we have always tried to do and we cannot deny that our early-season form promised more than our pre-season targets. So, while perspective is of course important, we also have to consider the moment and seizing opportunities we may not have expected.

I say this because our destiny this season is still very much in our own hands and it is in such circumstances in the past that our spirit has produced truly defining moments. We’ve been here before – when others feel we are faltering, that we can’t stay the distance, that we are vulnerable – and we have responded. It’s a time for courage, for unity and for belief. Three games for us to earn a finishing position of which we are worthy.

With the stakes as high as they are in these final three games, we’re reminded of the importance of our supporters and the difference you could make had you been with the team tonight, this and next Sunday. I know how frustrating it will have been for you all, having to watch games from home and not being able to make your voices heard as loudly as usual.

It’s encouraging to hear, subject to the pandemic being under control, of the possibility of supporters being gradually reintroduced to stadiums next season. Football just hasn’t been the same without you.

But, for now, we have to find a way to draw on each other’s strength from afar so that, when we do welcome you back to King Power Stadium, it might be for the very biggest occasions.

Thank you for your support.

Been told we’re a 3-4-2-1 tonight. Different source to usual so unsure the reliability but not too sure how pleased I’d be with us trying to match. Thomas LWB.

Top is just something else. Every bit of fan communication is just top drawer. We’re lucky to have him.

You are the one that’s been giving SFE the line ups all season though

if he is fit enough then we can trust Wes for the last 3, will need him tonight for sure.

Bold statement

one thing him coming on as a sub for cameos

its another thing playing 90 mins after playing 128 mins all season, a year on.

without a doubt he will be committed and give it his all, it’s just if he legs can match his commitment
