Nalis Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Straw clutching here - Assuming this stays 3-0 Spurs, a 2 nil win for Man U vs West Ham would still mean we can get 4th by any winning by scoreline next Sunday. Very unlikely we'll beat Man U at all either way of course.
KrefelderFox666 Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 5th it is. We are gonna be in a position where playing Man U a draw is not enough and even a low win might not be enough. We're gonna end up needing to win by at least two goals at this rate.

Nalis Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Just now, StanSP said: Unlikely Utd only win 2 nil either. Think they'll thrash them. Yeah sadly think that as you say. They've probably win by 3 or 4 goals and we'll probably concede one or two more against Spurs by the sounds of how poorly our defence is playing. Meaning we might need a 2 or 3 goal win.
StanSP Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Imagine if West Ham win on Wednesday though Sunday would be unbearable with the impending and inevitable loss and CL taken away

Jattdogg Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 End of the day i will take either. Seems like Europa will be it and i'm fine with that given our form its still a massive accomplishment. Shitty we choked so much but is what it is. In a year where liverpool destroyed teams a european place is welcome
holyfox Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 We’re without Maddison, Chilwell, Soyuncu, and Recardo! Take that much quality out of any team and see what happens. Just highlights lack of depth in defence. Lose no more than Chilwell and add a two or three is the best we can hope for. We don’t have the financial clout others do, even Wolves can spend more. COVID-19 will have been a big hit in the Kingpower finances, so let’s just be thankful we’re in the Europa at least
Mike Oxlong Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Can’t be too many teams that have been as shit as we have since December and still got into Europe
FrankieADZ Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 lets be right here, we dont deserve UCL football, we've been crap since the turn of the year
holyfox Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 We were incredibly lucky with the lack of injuries in the title winning season, this season has been just the opposite ever since Vardy got injured before Christmas. Still a great season given we’re fighting on reserves against teams who have got their injured players back on the whole after the lockdown
Guest SO1 Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Loosers. We will beat United next weekend and celebrate the Champions League.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Sadly the poor results against Watford, Brighton, Everton and Bournemouth are likely to cost us a CL place.
happy85 Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Man Utd win by 2 V West Ham Leicester win v Man Utd will clinch CL Man Utd win by 3 or 4 against West Ham then need 2 goal margin win needed
shailen Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 It doesn't really change anything. We had to win today to be able to go into the final day only needing a draw to get CL. A draw today would probably not have been enough to change the fact that we need to win our last game.

Thinking pre lock down Norwich was a big one and I remember coming away from Burnley abit unsure how we lost it but yes the return has killed us

NewEnglandFox Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Goal differential is gone. Man U are +14 since the lockdown. We're -2.

lcfcfoz Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 Get nigel and shaky back for final game. Sack brendan. 1st game new manager curse we will win, simple

shailen Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 We have a chance no matter what result United get against West Ham. Realistically we're going to need to beat them so at least we know what our game plan will be, whereas they might be stuck in two minds between going for the win or playing for the draw. It's not over. Believe.
Twitcher Posted 19 July 2020 Posted 19 July 2020 More straw clutching, but if Man City or Chelsea win the Champions League, will the places go down to fifth? Apologies if discussed up thread.
