It does hurt. Mainly because it just proves the pundits right, and rather than be applauded for a great season, we get patronised “awww bless little Leicester, they tried bless them”. 5
Md9 Posted 19 May 2021 Posted 19 May 2021 Just hold on 1-0 until the 95 min when Chris woods pops up with a last min Goal. A draw would be fine 1

BlueSi13 Posted 19 May 2021 Posted 19 May 2021 If this result stays the same and we do go on to miss out there is literally no point getting angry at the other teams, referees, Sky or anybody else. This is all us. Just a reminder that after we beat Crystal Palace, we were 8 points clear with 15 points to play for. It is entirely possible that we could go on to miss out by 3 points. Last year it was like we were doing a nosedive in slow motion. This year we've broken the sound barrier. Totally unprecedented. Thank god for the FA Cup to soften the blow but I can easily see us beginning to retreat backwards next season. 2

Paninistickers Posted 19 May 2021 Posted 19 May 2021 Four teams as it stands battling it out on the last day for 1 x conference and 1 x EL place.

whetstonefox Posted 19 May 2021 Posted 19 May 2021 Just hope Villa can play well on Sunday, they have had a decent season. Ultimately we have to make sure we beat Spurs and hope for a minor miracle.

surrifox Posted 19 May 2021 Posted 19 May 2021 Imagine hoping for Burnley to do something special to help us to CL , they are utterly hopeless
David Hankey Posted 19 May 2021 Posted 19 May 2021 We get the same old bollocks season after season about players moving on etc. Why should any of them want to move on if it turns out they weren't good enough to ensure CL football for us?
Hoopla10 Posted 19 May 2021 Posted 19 May 2021 1 minute ago, ARM1968 said: Exactly this. To be in the top 4 that long and fail twice is, frankly, stupid. The problem with stats is they don't tell the whole story. Doesn't mention we were playing two to three games a week for over half the season. Doesn't mention our injuries. Doesn't mention the opposition and how they fought. Doesn't mention that Chelsea get to play a massive game against us with fans in their stadium. Games we should have won because of tiredness or missing key players or Vardy being injured and just drying up goals...
