Newcastle, for me - were by far the worst side we encountered in the league last season. They scraped some unexpected late points last time out but that they were so clear of trouble is insane. They're absolute dross.

They aren't even interestingly shit now, just a bit bloody boring.

They were incredibly lucky last season, they actually have some decent players now and a better manager that didn’t play with the handbrake on would have them comfortably mid table.

Wilson is wasted at Newcastle tbh, Sheff United should have gone in for him instead of Brewster

Drury still gets massively over-excited at even the slightest half-chance.

I find him ok most of the time during a game but find his over excited moments massively cringe.

What, you think Calum Wilson would've  chose Perennial  third division  side sheff utd over near permanent PL membership  with Newcastle?

No matter how dull  the geordies current are, still  a great  club to have on your CV.  And when all said and done, amazingly they are only 4 points behind us 🤣

4 behind us having played a game more after 10 games? I'd expect us to be back to 7 ahead of them, which after 10 games is a huge margin, and would plot us being the best part of 30 points clear of them at the end of the season.

What a surprise, Joe Cole a fan of London clubs thinks it's fair some teams can have fans in and others can't. Peter Crouch on the other hand thinking it's unfair and calling it out.

And then they discuss having more fans back without any understanding or mention of the actual issues of having fans back. Fml

Joe Cole is an idiot. How's he's ended up as BT's number one pundit is beyond me. Can barely string a sentence together. Some pundits get better over time, and maybe Cole will, but hes been put straight in as number one pundit without time to grow into the job.

Are Sky Sports lot today completely oblivious to the fact that we also had a lot of injuries? They’re banging on like Liverpool were dealing with a team of second string players. We were and have been missing several integral players.

The quality in-depth is much richer with the amount of money invested in their squad. Really pissing me off that they are painting a still very minted Liverpool squad as underdogs!

Big team bias and lack of comprehensive analysis is very evident with Jeff’s new mates.

Yes. And apparently losing van dijk means way more than any other player despite us being without his centre back partner in the pfa team of the year.

He pops up with decent bits of analysis, but the London bias and frankly stupid things he comes out with is annoying. He's by no means the worst out there however.

Seems pundits are unable to understand Liverpool losing Van Dijk had a similar effect to us losing Ricardo. Losing a vital player to a team has an impact irrelevant of the level, which you'd think would be noted.

Brighton already showing more threat and positivity in 10 minutes than we did in the whole 90.

Why do we look so scared in certain games!

All the high profile media are as bad to be honest, the bbc, talksport, sky and bt - when its not a high profile game they seem to actually get pundits on who properly do their research. Sidwell is very good for example, as was Danny Simpson.

Mcmanaman and carragher are just outrageously biased and don't bother watching any other teams.

Is it controversial to say I wouldn't mind us having a look at Connolly as Vardy's understudy? He's still so young - I think there's a load of potential there.

Think we should be aiming higher than that.

I could accept us losing to these if we had a go like Brighton are

Bang on, that's what my main frustration was last season, certainly in the 2nd half of the season/after the restart, all the tippy tappy shit.

Thankfully it's only happened against Liverpool this season, the rest of the games I can't really fault, I just hope we don't do what we did against Liverpool again (As we should have already learnt from last season). It concerns me we hadn't learnt from last season though, but one game hopefully it's a reminder, improve and move on.

But to watch other teams having a go against this 'weakened' Liverpool team is frustrating given how toothless we were.

Brighton look a gift horse in the mouth.

MacMannaman  there, noticeably crestfallen that Liverpool conceded a penalty.

It's disgracefully biased commentary.
