Outrageously bad penalty there, wonder what Potter is writing in his notebook!

All the high profile media are as bad to be honest, the bbc, talksport, sky and bt - when its not a high profile game they seem to actually get pundits on who properly do their research. Sidwell is very good for example, as was Danny Simpson.

Mcmanaman and carragher are just outrageously biased and don't bother watching any other teams.

Genuinely appears the minute a big 6 side plays, any knowledge and common sense of football punditry goes out the window. By no means is that all pundits, but the majority seem to be awful.

The lower fixtures and smaller names seem so much better and have significantly more about them. Sidwell is brilliant as was Liam Rosenior.

Brighton already showing more threat and positivity in 10 minutes than we did in the whole 90.

Why do we look so scared in certain games!

Should we overlook that Brighton could have easily been 2 down within the first 5 mins

Loooooool what a horrendous pen

Seems like he changed his mind or was trying to be smart as he was looking at the corner the keeper dived in the run up

So should be 2-2 now then if we’re looking at it like that 🤷‍♂️

Gonna sound like Arsene Wenger here and say I didn't see the first couple of minutes.

It's not really my point though, even though i'm praising Brighton by saying they've been more of a threat and more positive in the first 10 than we were in the 90, they'll probably still lose, it's doesn't get away from the fact they've been more of a threat and more positive.

Ultimately a loss is a loss, doesn't really matter but as @foxfanazer said losing to Liverpool wouldn't have been as hard to take if we'd atleast gave it a go.

This is a considerably weaker looking Liverpool lineup han the one that faced us - no Mane, no Keita, no Matip. That defence looks way shakier with Phillips and Williams in it instead of Milner and Matip.

Why couldn’t Liverpool have played like this last week? 🤷‍♂️

Just going to say this, nearly every pundit was agreed that last week was Liverpool's best performance of the season! They never seem to have an off day against us at the moment... :(

Liverpool wanted it bad last week. Our game was played between the ears and it showed. Brighton with nothing to lose and look what’s happening.

Brighton look a gift horse in the mouth.

MacMannaman  there, noticeably crestfallen that Liverpool conceded a penalty.

It's disgracefully biased commentary.

Same again just now. No issues with the bias punditry with a pundit of either side, but comms should be neutral

I'm glad that we don't need a matchday thread to find things to slag off again about our own club and team.

Its a fair talking point about our approach to playing Liverpool. Brighton will more than likely go on to lose still but at least they're having a go at them

Why would they when we turned up scared of them

This. They may have had their best performances against us last week, boxing day last year and whenever they play us but you can't overlook the fact we've absolutely shit ourselves whenever we've come up against them recently, it does half the job for them, it allows them to play well.

So the last 2 Liverpool games we’ve had carragher and mcmanan as co commentary’s. I wouldn’t mind but both are so biased it’s ridiculous.

Every Liverpool comms is one of these.
