They’ve been unrecognisable without that nonsense in the side - they’re not one of the three worst sides in the division playing like this even though Chelsea have been utterly crap

Pretty unimaginative recruitment policy.

Southampton always seem to recruit well

The problem is his goal scoring record isn't great. Never managed a 20 goal season in the Premier League despite playing for Arsenal when they had Ozil in peak form. By comparison, Robin van Persie scored 34 (!) in his last season at Arsenal. 

 

That said he would probably do very well here. Would give us a really different style of play if we want to change it, and I also think he would combine very well with Vardy, which is clearly why Wenger wanted him. He is great at holding it up and linking it to other attackers, as shown in the Euros when Griezmann scored so many goals thanks to his play.

He actually has praised us a fair bit recently, Rogers gets lots of plaudits too from Sav.

Bias aside it really is. Had the odd stinker (Musa, Slimani, Silva etc) but generally we've been incredible in this department for nearly a decade now

Take the close season 2016-17 out of the equation and our recruitment has been mostly on point since Sven was sacked.
