Why was his elbow up and out like that looked very unnatural and clumsy

I think he was about to point to indicate to the free kick taker where he wanted it played.

I think he was trying to brush Mitrovic off to get some space. A proper elbow would see him swinging back for leverage.

It's not violent conduct in any way.

Another weekend, and all we're talking about is VAR. Boring beyond belief.

That's not entirely true - the derivation of the word 'gotten' is also hot... :)

It's so boring. At times I feel like people love the faux outrage but the officiating recently is shambolic for a professional sporting organisation

One could almost said it has gotten hot quite recently

Once again, any result has an upside for us, so I just hope they all exhaust themselves in the mean time.

Well that can't be true because it's a zero sum game.

Still a hard one to call, the question is are Everton more likely to catch us than we are to catch Man Utd?

My feelings are a draw is preferable but if there has to be a winner then Man Utd.

?

If Man U win, Everton gain nothing - ergo they lose ground

If Everton win, Man Utd gain nothing - ergo they don't pull away

If it's a draw, both teams only gain 1 point - ergo we benefit from both teams losing points.

Surely we want Salford United to win ??? We space between us and teams below us

Understand your reasoning but I don't want either of the Manchester clubs pulling too far away from us. Dare to dream

Draw or Everton win for me. I don't see this United side superior enough to us to think we can't finish above them

Man U will finish above us, they will always find a way (see 2019/20)

To stop Everton nicking fourth.
