Lambert is 51. But this is probably his last job at a decent sized club. Years of failure at Villa, Stoke, Wolves and Ipswich. He will go back to managing the likes of Colchester after this.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him blag another job at a decent sized club. He's a PR man, says all the right things usually without results backing it up.

By all accounts he's good as sacked, they are just agreeing severance terms on his 5 year contract. The Ipswich fans HATE him. He won't get any sort of a job after this, he's slagged off the owner, made bizarre comments about the youth players and results have been woeful. Complete mess of a manager! Hope Ipswich will make a good appointment at last....

They didn't realise how good they had it when Big Mick was there. Worked miracles tbf with no money but the fans didn't like the style of football. Basket case of a club for a decade or more now. If they don't get the next appointment right then they could end up looking down to Div 2 rather than up to the Champs.

True and I'm sure in hindsight they'd love to rewind the clock but I don't blame them. A patient and decent fanbase in general who have seen their club go backwards for almost 20 years. Not really fair to constantly use that as a stick to beat them with. The real problem is the owner who is a waste of space

James Coppinger comes on in 86th minute on the 17th anniversary at Doncaster and scores a 90th minute equaliser after being 3-1 down.

Great player for Doncaster but always seems sound too.

Think he announced he was retiring at the end of the season, what a career still going at 40 at a decent level.

Yeah Marcus Evans isn't it? Big promises but failed to deliver anything.

Michael Jolley sacked by Barrow after 7 games, Rob Kelly in caretaker charge for the rest of the season.

Second sacking by Barrow this season but Jolley was a shocking appointment in the first place.

I've heard they're a smashing bunch of lads up there.

It can't help that his only success has come at Norwich as well.

If only they played in the same division. The derbies would have been fun :D

The Bristol derby is one of the better City derbies; I wish they played in the same division more often.

Carlisle have 21 games to play between now and the end of the season.

I thought that was a lot until I realised we'd have 24 matches left if we get to the Europa League and FA Cup final - 13 league games, 8 Europa League matches, 3 FA Cup matches.

I didn't realise David Nugent has gone to Tranmere on loan. It's a decent move for him really at this stage in his career and it's even closer to home.

Another brilliant win for Burton, 2-1 against Charlton, 4 wins in 6 games with Jimmy Floyd as manager

Still bottom but now only 3 points from safety with a couple of games in hand on the teams above them
