A CB that can bring the ball out and play forward passes and has pace would be a better match. 40M is ridiculous for him. There must be numerous better options outside of England playing in European Leagues that present much better value. Why his name comes up every window is hopefully lazy press garbage. Forfana would be a potentially brilliant signing.

There is a lot to be said for Prem experience - Fofana suits our model of scouting talent and making them a superstar before cashing in, but in terms of instant impact and strengthening the side I agree Tarkowski could be better. 2
