Just turned TV on Sky Sports Centre.....Tim Sherwood getting ready to watch the Chelsea Athletico match and amongst all his usual waffling said if Chelsea score first that will be game/tie  over as there is no way Athletico will score the 3 goals they would need to get thru......what a Wally....If Athletico score 2 and Chelsea only 1 I reckon they go through on away goals...He really  is brainless

Not sure why the BT pundits think that's a pen. Carrasco knew he wasn't getting to the ball before Mendy so threw himself to the ground from absolute minimal contact.

I don't think there was enough contact for a penalty but I'm suprised VAR didn't give it a check over.

I didn't say there wasn't contact. A man's arm brushes his chest and he throws himself hilariously, theatrically on the floor. 

 

I tell you, this sport would be 200% better if there were more refs like me so I've no idea why you'd ever not want me out there quite frankly unless you actually like diving, play acting, simulation, time wasting et all.

The problem is you know they'll be so many other occasions when contact like that is given. Really stupid from Azpilicueta.

 

I don't watch all European games but I've rarely seen VAR getting involved in anything other than handballs.

Yes there isn't a massive amount of contact but Azpilicueta does grab him to stop him. Huge mistake to make and in doing so he impedes Carrasco.
