Really good half for me, it'll come if we keep that control up. Something a bit smarter. What I don’t get is that about once a season we go mad for a single game with loads of creative set pieces and they cause loads of problems. Then we never seem to bother again. 1

Not fully convinced we'll shut the door when theu come forward though. Praet makes runs that Maddison doesn't and I think it creates a bit more space for us. Tielemans great for the most part, Barnes looking dangerous and Castagne knows how to pick a pass. Maddison for Perez early in the second half. I rather Perez at the moment as he knows how to create space for Castagne to come forward and move around for others. Maddison would be too keen to get and keep the ball and affect our directness. If we make a change, I would prefer Gray or Nachos to come in for Perez.

Popular Post Carl the Llama Posted 20 September 2020 Popular Post Posted 20 September 2020 Wrighty's awkward pause when he's trying to explain it's not handball because it's on the sleeve and a pic flashes up appearing to show contact below the sleeve. 1 4
Le Renard Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 Watching half time analysis on RMC sport (France) and they were laughing at the Chris Wood goal, they couldn't believe it was given. 2
CloudFox Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 Harsh on Justin. He's not perfect but generally he's been good. It's tough handling a ton of bricks shoving you off the ball.
sdb Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 Mendy's been decent but yellow means we should get Madders on and Youri can hold.
HoChiMinhFOX Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 Other than the Burnley goal (which I'd deem a foul) jj has hardly put a foot wrong imo.

I wonder how Chilwell would have stood up against Wood in an aerial duel... It wasn't being bulliedt that was the main issue for me. He stands between Wood and ball and he can't take it down on his chest. It was very naive. Edited 20 September 2020 by Muzzy_Larsson
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 Need to be far more clinical this half. Burnley will continue to be Burnley and we need to ensure we get a goal earlyish so that don't shithouse a late winner.
CloudFox Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 On another note, we really seem to be struggling to get the ball off McNeil. Kinda proving the doubters wrong about him being a crossing merchant, eh? 1

And then they both wax lyrical about them pressing high up the pitch like they are watching 70’s brazil 1
TrentFox Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 Not a bad half. We all know how Burnley play. We can’t then be surprised when they make it tough. We’re doing ‘okay’. Just need to move the ball forward quicker. When we have and have got Barnes past the initial press, we’ve looked threatening. 1
kristianity77 Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 Think we did ok that half. We haven't played bad, it's one of them halves where it's nearly clicking! Bring maddison on and I think we win this.

Tielemans63 Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 (edited) If we're still level at 60 mins I'd like to see Fuchs or Morgan replace Mendy and push Wilf back into his normal position. Not that Papy has done badly but he's on a yellow and he's flitted in and out imho. Also think that will make us less susceptible to Burnley's relentless aerial assault. UniFox21 Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 JJ appears rapid down the line, numerous times he's left the winger/fullback behind him 1
FoxesWalk Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 (edited) Aside from being shoved over by Wood (which some may argue was a foul...), Justin had a great half IMO not far off Castagne who was excellent on the other side. Edited 20 September 2020 by FoxesWalk 1
Shane Posted 20 September 2020 Posted 20 September 2020 That cross along the floor from Praet to the back post for Barnes was probably our best chance so far 1
