Abysmal for the first 15 mins, seemed a different player after that

His winger had him on toast for the first 15 then seemed to disappear!

Much better after the booking. Had some decent link up play with Doyle and page and some decent balls in to the box, just needed someone attacking them.

Agree though first 15/20 mins was shocking and really thought he was going to get himself sent off.

Think Thomas then pushing right up the pitch caused that tbf.

He was crap for a lot longer than that. Much better in the second half but overall still a very poor performance (which highlights just how bad he was in the first half)

Complete car crash in the first half, improved in the second.

The amount of times he got bullied off the ball, committed unnecessary fouls and was miles off his opponent was infuriating. Amateur play.

Lost at left-back. Better suited for left wing-back, imo.

Can’t be a coincidence if he was booed before the game that he’s came out worse than usual. Doesn’t help anyone when a ball hasn’t even been kicked 😂

And what's the excuse for the other 250 games when he's been dreadful?

During the game is one thing if it’s poor play or lack of effort etc, but you must surely see it can’t help anyone’s confidence before the game.

You have to have pace to play as a wing back so he definitely isnt suited for that.

He's even worse suited for LWB. The lack of athleticism is agonising to watch. Combine that with his lack of instinct (not to mention technical ability) ....

The amount of times, if you watch him closely, he's stood in nowhereland and you can almost here the cogs moving in his brain when, 2 or 3 seconds later, he makes a (correct) move into space.

I used to do that with my kids in junior football. They'd be stood idle and a quick instruction shout from the touchline (which I'd be trying to suppress so as not to be that touchline parent) and they'd suddenly click what move to make. But they were 9 or 10. This lad's paid 35k a week for the same output

I’m told he was booed when his name was read at before the game today

Certainly sounded like he got booed from where I was sitting, mind you after the last game I could understand why people did it.

Straight in his car after the game and usually he’s really good for signings and stuff like that. Didn’t look happy at all.

Had a sloppy start where he didn’t seem happy until he got booked and then seemed to settle down and did ok.

If it did happen then it must of been a very small area of booing then as I didn’t hear anything where I was in the stadium but anyway that don’t defend what he was doing right up until he was booked, a silly challenge where he completely took the opponent out on the half way line with no intention of playing the ball, then a pull back giving away another free kick in the next phase of play, very rarely are they not punished with a yellow card each incident and then he was wresting/pulling back the opposition while he was last man on a counter from our set piece

Sounded quite loud to me
