You can still end up being postive after a covid test. They are not 100%. Also you could have caught it between when you got the test and when you travel. If the LFD is say 96% accurate. Then obviously 4 out of every 100 could actually be positive potentially

...and lateral flow tests are about 60% accurate.

All the hoops kinda take the shine off the day thats for sure. I'd still jump through them if i had enough points but jeeze. Face masks all the way down there and back up again, socially distanced seating and standing when youre there etc. TV and beers at home sounds decent.

So it says you have to have an assisted flow test..... Not just one you do on yourself at the centre

According to NHS map of these places there are none which have assisted testing in virtually the whole of central England...so how do they know if you have a normal flow test at a centre or an assisted one?

This coach thing is 100% a club move. Stinks of it

I'm not so sure. It's a government test event. They presumably want it as controlled as possible. Not exposing people to risk on the way down through travel etc. It makes sense that they want to control everything. It's just one big experiment. It would make no sense to put people on coaches who live in London and unreasonable to make fans from outside Leicester travel to Leicester when it could be a huge detour.

Yep. Just said exactly the same thing to a mate. A disappointing facet of the club.

Yes saying the collecting of tickets from various hotels back in 2016/7 was a UEFA requirement was a direct lie. To make matters worse, one of my lads nearly came to blows with Jim in Porto when they couldn’t find our tickets and we had to be given complementaries.

You’ve got a point. The nearest assisted test centre to Leicester is the other side of Birmingham....

Man City fans could take the train, EMR was obviously expecting fans to go by train as they are putting on extra capacity for the day

Anyone in Leicestershire has to get a coach, for some that is a detour. Man City fans had trains and cars as options for the final a few weeks ago, even those from Manchester. So something is different this time.

Were they trains specifically for going to the match? If so it's probably just a case of negotiations with different rail companies achieving different result. Just speculation of course.

They have to draw the line somewhere. Yeah if you live in Lutterworth it's a pretty major detour but not to the same extent as most people coming from outside the county

The annoying thing in all of this is that corporates will of course be able to make their own jolly way there in their own time. If it’s a test event then make it a fair experiment for everyone in the 22,000

crowd and don’t dump on the proper fans by putting in place stringent measures which will affect their experience.

Nope not specific trains from leicester but there are more train journeys between leicester and London then there is Manchester to London so there is already more capacity and EMR was putting on even more Capacity on top

Yes, that’s what I thought. Tudor is my usual port of call for LFT’s. You do it yourself, but under their watchful eye / guidance. You just walk in, no appointment required. Surely 6000+ appointments in just over 24 hours administered by NHS, plus all the usual walk ins would cause a melt down?
