But the 80/90% you're referring to is clearly not something we can continue to do? And you're relying very heavily there on what's (recently) been very hit and miss recruitment spending that money wisely. It'd be a huge gamble to jump from Brighton to us at the moment.

Id agree its certainly not risk free. I feel like you're probably doing the club down because we're not doing well atm. We're not some basket case club like Everton or Man United though thats rotten from years and years of mis management.

A new manager essentially has a blank canvas with a very talented base in summer 2023.

They're spending 40m ish. Were spending 75m ish. Even if we shave 20% off our budget hes still got an extra 20 million to play with.

He definitely has more potential with us than Brighton, you'll not convince me otherwise :D

No credible journalists or credible ITKs have mentioned anything about Rodgers even being on thin ice. Not even a heavy defeat ro Man Utd will result in his sacking. He's here for at least 1 more month.

Time to go.

The players are just adrift and they desperately need a new leader.

Rodgers himself to me is just going through the motions and looking forward to his pay off/holiday which is a pretty horrendous attitude so early on in the season.

Perhaps I'm wrong and he is motivated/bothered but I think his frame of mind is rubbing off on the squad.

Could literally copy and paste the post match threads weekly. Unfortunately, the clown is still here inflicting himself upon us all.

Will I be seeing your chiselled jaw line at the big Shepshed fixture next weekend?

I really hope the board is not that stupid.

Whatever it is, I don't think any club in their right mind would offer anything more than 3 years.

He’ll go to a European farmers league, win a league or get UCL, appear amazing again and someone will fall for it all

We've lost 3 on the spin with Man Utd and Brighton to come, we are 19th in the league. Things change very quickly and I'm sure the board are a mix of deeply concerned and hoping we turn this around but they'll be under immense pressure to act I'd we lose these next 2. We cannot afford to be cut adrift as its a nightmare to get out of it, look at Everton and Leeds last season.

On the potter thing, don’t want him . But we are still an attractive proposition. We’ve got a bigger ceiling than Brighton and as we are showing he would CLEARLY get time in the role. I think he’s got one eye on a spursy type job though

Needs to get toxic against United sadly. Boos, calls for the managers head, etc.

We need to force him out otherwise he’ll go nowhere

I remember the early feb 2017 evening fixture home to yanited when we were done 3-0 by mourinho  ….  Claudio struggling, only wilf and wague came in ….wasn’t a good atmosphere…..

Basically I believe the month of September alone will fully determine Rodgers' future at the club now. If we don't lose all of the next tough looking four fixtures against Mancs, Brighton, Villa and Spurs and gain at least one win against one of them, then I think he'll possibly be given longer. If we don't (and lose the lot), he won't basically and it would be ironic if a potential defeat v Forest ultimately cost him his job in the fifth league game to come - especially after our v.abject performance against them in last season's FA Cup of course!

Potter is a class manager. Need to get over how big you think we are.

Honestly, how can you with a straight face say we have a bigger ceiling than Brighton?

Finances - Rich

Sponsors - Rich, secure and Legit

Stadium - Renowned for being modern and amazing

Recruitment - How we used to be

Manager - On the up

Location - Basically got a ginormous catchment area for fans with little competition. Also, it’s nice down there lol

Were on the same level as them, we’ve had some incredible success, but currently we’re neck and neck and they’re getting a head start currently on being the next “surprise top 6 package” or “potential cup winner”

By the way none of that rules out us actually attracting him… we clearly offer ridiculous money
