An Away Move Posted 22 July 2021 Posted 22 July 2021 This guy is my first choice. Never seen him play or even seen a highlights video. It’s just a feeling! 🤣
Lambert09 Posted 23 July 2021 Posted 23 July 2021 I signed him up on fm 20 as a 17year old. He mostly flattered to deceive but randomly turned up in big games and had wonder games. FM is never wrong, he will be our cup winner 1
st albans fox Posted 23 July 2021 Posted 23 July 2021 Maybe the experience of under not making it here will discourage a punt at a RW without prem experience ……

We didn’t do too badly last season without under. It was injuries in other areas that cost us in the end with our poor defensive record……. 1

I think if we tried to do that then we'd make an even bigger long term problem around RW rather than fixing it properly. Almost like my utility sink, started screwing it over time repetitively and now a glass is under it, all because I've been lazy. 1

I'd argue it was losing Barnes and highlighting how weak we are out wide that meant we couldn't continue with 4-2-3-1 and cost us top 4 yet again. What we do know is going 3 at the back led to us showing mid table/relegation form for the run in of the last 2 seasons and we got pipped on the line for the top 4. We can't ignore that. Fully fit squad we could get away with not bringing another winger in but a fully fit squad we could have got away without signing Daka or Soumare or Bertrand. We are a right winger and possibly a better 4th choice CB from being equipped to deliver on what we promise in the PL. 16

There's not many PL proven players that are attainable for a reasonable fee and want to actually come here. Mattheus Pereira is likely the only player that fits the bill there. 4
matty98 Posted 24 July 2021 Posted 24 July 2021 At £20m it should be a bit of a no brainer, 19 years old and english means one half decent season and his value becomes £50m+ 2 1
dbtcity Posted 24 July 2021 Posted 24 July 2021 (edited) Mad price… Fee demanded is too much… get out of here give them the 20m and let’s go bag our left footed RW! Give him a year or 2 and watch that English tax kick in and his price sky rocket Edited 24 July 2021 by dbtcity

Let him work his way back into the team, pushing him from pillar to post has not helped him and we would only be repeating the same process and getting the same result! 7

Lets see if we can get him injury free, then PL match-fit...I would like to think he can kick-start/rekindle his career with us & push his way for 1St Choice potential & contention...Instead of us suddenly again being pushed to Play Ndidi as CB, get this guy up to scratch.. 2
Vindaloo FOX Posted 25 July 2021 Posted 25 July 2021 Update Noni Madueke: #BVB and player (father/agents already been in Dortmund) can imagine to work together. But a transfer this summer is not expected. PSV Eindhoven have no plans to sell the right-winger. Only a high bid could be a deal breaker. Transfer next year more likely.

I've been saying that since he's been here from celtic but apparently there have been issues between the club and him in his first year. I can only imagine it makes sense because he literally hasn't been given any type of run of games at all. Besides if we do get a RW in the end and we are currently down on a CB then we maybe forced to utilise him this season. I for one would be glad to see it. 1

Going three at the back after Barnes was injured was fully understandable as it got our best available players on the pitch. However I remember Leicester when BR first came here playing 4-1-4-1 and later on playing 4-2-3-1 blowing teams away with attacking football. Three at the back just makes us look laboured as we try to grind teams down. We have quality all over the squad now whether that's GK, FB, CB, CM or FW. My fantasy window would be what we have signed so far and a top class RW and a player who could cover all three attacking positions behind the striker and play any three from four with Sowah as 5th choice. 4
