Probably a suggestion that his focus is not where it should be as far as PSV are concerned. This will be the time they (PSV) force the issue and do the deal, they can't rely on an unhappy player around the club for the rest of their season.

The closeness of the end of the window could work either way. If, for some reason, PSV wanted to cash in then their position is weaker.  Admittedly, most opinion on here is that PSV aren't desperate to sell, though.

They sold Malen, who is more established, experienced and a full international already, for £27m this summer. Madueke should be worth less than him, although there is the English tax.

I can't help but feel we're all going to overburden the poor bloke with expectations if he does sign for us. Looking good in the Dutch league is not an indicator he'll look good in the Premier league. He's obviously talented but expecting him to instantly be skinning fullbacks and whipping in lethal crosses is not going to end well!

He’s an upgrade on Perez so that’s good enough for me

I've never seen this kid play and I kind of suspect that a lot of people getting excited about Madueke being the answer to our prayers haven't either.  So, to those who do know him, how good do is he?  Is he a £35m player?  Or is it the case that he is the one name left on our dwindling list of options? 

 

I don't think this will happen because we don't have the dough, PSV don't want to sell and for some reason, I get the impression that the club is unconvinced.

....the last thing I would be looking for him to do is whipping in crosses!!!

Laying the ball off and slide rule passes as well as bending the ball into the far corner across the keeper is what we are looking for, putting crosses into the box are going to be waste of his time and effort.

Have we genuinely been linked to this guy or is it 63 pages of FT links. We all know we want him and I see it all over Twitter.but I’m sure its just Leicester fans 🤷🏼‍♂️ I would imagine he will go somewhere else to be honest, hope I’m wrong but it seems like clubs all over Europe want him. have we just fabricated links ? 😂

On reflection, for the first time in recent memory we really don't have a that target man option anymore - although Nacho excels at holding the ball. Isn't Carroll a free agent now? :ph34r:

I don't tend to watch youtube showreels as I get bored with the 'padding' and replays and I think they are deceptive.  There's nothing like watching a player for a full game.

 

I watched this one though since you have taken the time to post it and he does look impressive, particularly since he has only played 36 games so a pretty limited pool to take highlights from.  I'm just wary that a winger tearing up in The Eredivisie translates into Demarai Gray in the Premier League.

 

Who'd be a football scout?  Not me.

He isn’t worth £35m if he was 25 years old no.

He has stacks of potential and is still very raw. His style is similar to Barnes as he just powers past defenders and he has that directness about him.

Isnt he considered to be PSV's best player? If so then surely he would be around the 30 mil mark for them even if he was older, he seems to be scoring almost every game for them
