Very odd given they are perilously close to breaching FFP. Not even Rangers 1st choice right back either 😂

Don’t get Everton…. Their mad spending has been completely wasteful…. They may as well just flush their money down the toilet…. A season of watching James sulk around the pitch is about all they’ve had.

What's weirder is shoehorning a right back into left back because the manager has had an argument with their only fit LB

Perfect result really. Can't stand either of them.

Man City aren't much better, but the lesser of 3 evils in my personal opinion

Shame half time came, was a cracking match, then died out a little bit, as it sometimes does.

most of the big club are purely greedy awful ****ers now

Hoard and buy hoard and buy yet moan about injuries. Klopp moaned about injuries, then decided to play salah and mane against milan in a dead rubber this year.

Chelsea today has another hoarded talented bench not used.  barkley from everton sitting on there bench again wasting away, with a 50 million pound star of ajax  while choosing to leave out for honest remarks a 100 million pound player. Lest we forget the 75 million pound back up keeper, or Sarr bought sent on loan to porto then bench warmed at over 20 million as well.

Patterson is very good, price seems a bit high but if he keeps developing and adapts then in a few years it'll look like a great deal.

Can we stop taking the piss out of a team that we’re playing next week …..

just taking this chance to say that Demarai Gray is consistently brilliant, their team is perfectly balanced thanks to their shrewd transfer business and Rafa is a tactical genius who we'll have to be really on our top game to have a chance against
reverse psychology innit :pearson:

and this is my insurance if we do get beat, i'll look like a genius either way

Why it's inevitable that Gray is going to score the only goal anyway its written.

Makes no difference what we say about it before during or after lol

I don't know it what context Carragher said that this evening, however...

You know what, I wouldn't be opposed to something like this.

Similar to a rugby union sin bin.

Ice hockey do it too with a sin bin.

There are offences that deserve more than a yellow, but not quite a red.

Prime example being Chiellini pulling back Saka in the Euros.

Give them 5/8/10 minutes in the sin bin.

Just another layer of interpretation that refs will often get wrong and social media fans will go to war over. It's already too complicated for consistantly accurate judgements and open up even more accusations of favouritism towards certain clubs.

Referees can't even get two cards right and you want to add a third in the mix?

I was hoping to see Maguire playing to see how many  mistakes he was going to make - now let's see what Phil Jones can do

He gets a lot of stick here, but I don't think he's so bad.

I can think of a couple of worse centre backs...

TBF is he that much worse than the Oil Tanker?  Must be marginal?
