All I know is `He's magic you know:

That man u home game win and the emotion.

(Plus everything else) makes him a Legend.    Imo :worship:

So so classy. He always found space and his execution of passing was sublime. And a big reason we stayed up that year.

But would we have won the league with him in the side the following season? Genuinely don’t know, but probably not? That said we did that because of his (and others performances) the year before.

I loved the anecdote about when he signed and started training, the coaching staff were full of plans to develop the team but looked at Cambiasso and thought "There's nothing that we can teach him, he literally knows everything".

Class act and a brilliant footballer.  So lucky to have been able to watch him in a City shirt.

Had the fortune to speak to him briefly after the Man U 5-3 game (he couldn't believe they'd taken De Maria off).

Felt like an 11 year old kid (mentally, not to eat). The only other autograph I've ever asked for (and got) was Frank Worthington's at Sapcote rec when I was 8

Great player but I don't think we'd have signed Kante had he stayed and there is no way he could have done Kante's job for us. We'd have most likely needed to play 3 in midfield and have Mahrez tucking in more to support our midfield with Cambiasso in the team rather than Kante.

Him leaving probably won us the league imo.

Imagine having Wes Morgan as your "captain" when this man is around

I've seen some stupid comments in my time on this forum over the last 10+ years, but this is right up there

I loved watching Cambiasso. As spectators in the ground you can often see the pass that should be played before the players can see it at ground level. Cambiasso had such intelligence he always made these passes in a split second. It was an absolute joy to see.

Love Cambiasso. Not so keen on Coldplay.

How it came to be for him to be with us, I'll never know. A true class act and I feel honoured to have seen him in our shirt. I'm not sure I've seen anyone better. Seemed to see the game before it happened.

The Wes Morgan who captained us to the Premier League title while Cambiasso elected to join Olympiacos rather than renew his contract? Yeah, imagine.

If we kept Cambiasso, would we have had Ngolo?

No Golo, no Prem.

It’s a year ago, but I’m pretty sure I was just arguing that Morgan was an amazing captain and we absolutely shouldn’t have made Cambiasso our captain when we had him. I don’t disagree with you at all, I’m not sure what point you think I was trying to make though

Got a signed (not worn by him) shirt framed in my lounge, with pics of him signing it underneath. Wonder what that would fetch these days- not that I’d ever sell it

Also got Vardy’s signature on an England shirt on the opposite lounge wall 😂

In hindsight, it's no wonder we were struggling in midfield with a wizened Cambiasso and Matty James as a central duo. We at least needed one pair of legs. Incredible brain though.

James was a machine then pre injury,  genuine box to box player.  That version of Matty would have likely got England caps.
