Clever Fox Posted 22 May 2021 Posted 22 May 2021 Weren't we in for him before he chose Utd. He has a lot of pace which we need badly. I wouldn't say no to him if the price was right. 2
STUHILL Posted 22 May 2021 Posted 22 May 2021 Think he would be an OK addition for the right price. Imagine he wants to be starting every week though and so don't necessarily see that here. Leeds probably a better move for him
HybridFox Posted 22 May 2021 Posted 22 May 2021 Would take him. Will have a lot of games next year again and gives us pace going forward that only Barnes can currently provide

Genesis1 Posted 22 May 2021 Posted 22 May 2021 I'm assuming if he wants to play with wingers somebody in centre back is given the boot and we go back to a 4-2-3-1, which scares me at the thought of Kel up front on his own.

No matter what the plan is you need to buy another striker. Partly because Kel hasn’t proved he can do it on his own, yes. But also because you have to prepare for the contingency that Vardy is done. Maybe he’s not fully recovered from the groin injury, but maybe he’s just old. How many 34-35 year-old strikers are there in Europe playing at a high enough level to be starters for a PL team with European ambitions? If that’s the case, you need another center-forward even if playing a 4-5-1.
Deeg67 Posted 23 May 2021 Posted 23 May 2021 (edited) James vs. Pereira is an interesting philosophical debate. Cost might be pretty similar. A guy with big talent who struggled to make an impact with a big club he went to too early, or a guy who was the best player on a truly awful squad with little competition for chances. Edouard would be the man in that position or Vardy. Nacho will play in a two or to support an existing striker off the bench.

An Sionnach Posted 23 May 2021 Posted 23 May 2021 Man. U. would be adding 10 million on to recover some of the overspend on Maguire. Looks like bad business to me as is usual when dealing with a direct rival.
dbtcity Posted 23 May 2021 Posted 23 May 2021 I’ve spent 95% of his game time telling my Man U supporting mates just how S**t he is so it’s pretty much nailed on we’ll sign the lad 2
Leicester_Loyal Posted 23 May 2021 Posted 23 May 2021 Don't think he's good enough but we need someone like him, raw and pacey, something a bit different. Our bench options atm are just Under, Perez or Mendy, they very rarely change a game.
TMELcfc Posted 23 May 2021 Posted 23 May 2021 I noticed last week we were odds on favourites to sign him with SkyBet even though I’d not seen a single link/rumour…

filbertway Posted 23 May 2021 Posted 23 May 2021 A player with pace who is willing to work hard and will contribute far more in an attacking sense than Perez or Albrighton ever will. It'd be a yes from me.

Suarez, Giroud, and getting old fast Aguero, Lewandowski, Messi in truth all the best strikers bar Mbappe , Kane and Salah are comfortably past 30 .Secret is don't overplay them and they can go on a long time even as long as Totti.
