The seven with the bigger budgets presumably are the so called big six and Everton I guess?

As long as they make the payments no complaints. If you're looking for Snow White you might want to re adjust our expectations. No such thing as clean money.

I seem to recall Walkers was a 10 year deal for £10M. KP brought outthe last few so they could stick their name on. I don't think they were too fussed about raising £££s more to do with getting known.

Could be West Ham. I’m sure I saw revenue figures not so long ago she was really surprised by the income they get

Just reading the comments on their Instagram post about the deal.

Their poor social media manager’s trying their best, bless ‘em.

Its literally YOU'VE RUINED OUR ****ING SHIRTS with some poor fella replying "sorry we'll do our best for you I'm so sorry".

Can’t believe that’s possible (unless there’s something ‘dodgy’ going on.)

Why not?  Established top 6 (sorry, top 5) Club with a European pedigree.

We are talking about Leicester, aren't we?

You’re talking about before

I said Sportsbet

Yes and sportsbet are the company they got in at the last hour to replace their deal that went sour.. what I’m trying to say is Southampton had to get a sponsor literally days before the season started so shouldn’t be a comparison,

Anyway they’ve since renewed with sportsbet for 7.5m+ a season

Regardless I think the point I was trying to make is if your selling sleeve space for 600k in 2019, you’re probably not negotiating a 30m a year shirt deal 2 years later

Man U get £64m

the next highest deal is £50m

there is no way out deal can be justified at 50/60m - remember it isn’t just to get your name on the tv screen etc .  Every replica shirt wandering the world is a mobile advertising hoarding.  Our sales on replica shirts simply don’t  justify that size deal.

I've found a few articles on this that weren't re hashed and all of them have the sponsorship deal at €32M per year I.e. £30M give or take a few pennies.

Top isn't stupid and I very much doubt that he'd put a new brand onto his clubs players shirts after what he's built up with this club for £10-12M per year. If that were the case I think he'd carry on with king power.

Yeah I mean 36m is peanuts across 3 seasons

Added to the fact that basically the club has lost Gate revenue for a season and a half.

be interesting to see these articles?

I've heard different numbers. Think i'll wait for the accounts.

All numbers I've heard though are a long way in excess of what I'd have expected and I think we've got the deal signed up for 5 years.

Maybe but if it is 36m over 3 years, it's still someone else putting money in rather then him.

When FFP is back in force that's useful.

But that's still £8million more per year than king power were paying for sponsorship, which represents a significant increase.

If it is £30million per year than that is an incredible deal for us, it just seems to good to be true though.

Very true. I just get the impression that with the pandemic, gate receipts and merchandise etc then this new sponsorship was always going to hit the markets that they were after in the far east etc. It's not just FBS anyway, it's addidas and saigan beer on the shirts that they are using too.

Top is too good a business man to let a sponsor come in and not pay significantly more than he was. I'd hedge a bet that £30mil a year is about right. Awesome for 1 major signing a year 👏

But BR has said we are about 10th commercially just the other day?

I think he meant tenth because we were probably making no commercial revenue from shirt/stadium/training ground sponsers etc which is the problem and he was well within his rights to do that to increase funds that should be easily attainable enough that most other prem clubs have.
