If was going to the Chelsea game, personally wouldn't boo him.

He seems very down-to-earth.

Chilwell and Fofana deserve any boos, though.

Not any guess work. Kasper spoke many times in interviews stating that's what happened to him. Various other players have described identical situations. Clubs accept offers and you're off. You're assuming the cash was his incentive but KDH has said he didn't want to leave.

that bullshit, if you have a contract then simply put you can just say no to the offer from the other club and stay where you are

You accept an offer and tell the player he's off. It's that simple. Leeds did it to Kasper, that's how we signed him.

The difference is receiving the offer. The players we wanted out weren't coveted by other clubs and we didn't receive offers to accept. Sometimes you get a player refuse if the club accepts the offer, we accepted an offer for Vestergaard and he refused to leave.

And, while KDH didn't want to leave, he knew the score with FFP and that we needed to sell.

Well that's more of a case of knowing you're not wanted. Leeds told Kasper he'd be made to rot if he didn't leave.

You can still turn down a contract.

Vestegaard had chance to join Fulham and decided he'd rather sit on 70k a week or whatever it is. The club made it pretty clear to him they wanted him gone.

You keep saying this as if it's matter of fact for all footballers when you've already cited an example in Vestergaard where this wasn't the case at all lol

Not all, at all. But, it happens is the point. Piper goes on regularly about being sold against his wishes.

Wasn't it more 'matt, we need to sell you to Sunderland or we might very well go bust' so he reluctantly agreed to go, rather than a money ball-esque 'you've be transferred to the Yankees, go see pat in personnel, she will handle the logistics'?

It was, which I see as a good comparison to KDH in a 'KDH we need to sell you or we're millions ££ out on FFP and in the sh1te'.

Which is merely my point, both KDH and the club have said it was a necessity to sell not that KDH wanted to go.

I think that's absolutely true....

I like KDH and have not heard feelings.about him leaving but I think we're guilty of turning him into a player he never was. Don't get me wrong he was decent but no more than that for me. Certainly not desperate for him to return

Feel sad for him....he didn't want to go but had no choice. Now not even playing. Bring him back!

I wouldn't feel sad for him.  He's been given a great opportunity to further his career and left on good terms.  So if he can't get himself in the team, and he wants to go elsewhere, maybe back to us, then he's got a very good chance of doing so, on loan at least.  Chelsea will want to shift players on that aren't part of the managers plans, so there will be plenty of opportunity for him to get back on track.

Where’s wilf off to?

Don’t know but won’t be with us next season.

Anyone who signs a contract with a low release clause has one thing in mind. Got a feeling we’ve helped each other out to assist with PSR

Aston Villa are sniffing around a January loan apparently.

Going from 7th choice at Chelsea to 5th choice at Villa would be strange but at least he’d be closer to home..

We surely need to be going in for him if he’s available on a loan.

https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2024/11/11/aston-villa-eyeing-loan-move-for-kiernan-dewsbury-hall/

Aston Villa are eager to test Chelsea with a loan offer for out-of-favour midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Fichajes, Aston Villa are keen to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on loan in January, with the deal likely to come with a buy option. The former Leicester City midfielder has failed to hit the ground running with Chelsea since his summer move, which has prompted reports to emerge of a swift departure.

Enzo Maresca was the architect behind signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from his former side, Leicester City, as soon as he became Chelsea’s manager. The Italian coach used the midfielder extensively last season as the Foxes lifted the Championship title, although things have not been good since his move to Stamford Bridge.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has made three appearances in the Premier League, all of which came off the bench. Maresca has used him in the Conference League and cup games, meaning there is still some use of the midfielder in the squad, although he is an expensive acquisition to play such a role.

His lack of minutes and the fact that he is well down the pecking order at Chelsea could prompt a swift departure from Stamford Bridge ahead of the January transfer window. The 26-year-old will be eager to play regularly in the Premier League, with Aston Villa now showing an interest in the Chelsea summer signing, now valued at €35 million.

Unai Emery will want to bring in new signings ahead of the January transfer window to strengthen his squad for the challenges ahead. Aston Villa are in a good place to compete for a top-four spot in the Premier League and perform in the Champions League, meaning they will need reinforcements. Midfield is not mainly an area where they are short, but Emery would not be opposed to a quality addition.

Aston Villa formulating loan offer for Dewsbury-Hall
Aston Villa are aware of Chelsea’s asking price for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall should they decide to part ways, as the Blues are reportedly keen to recoup €35 million as well as bonuses. Aston Villa, on the other hand, are only eager for a loan deal, which could come with a buy option.

According to the report, Aston Villa are eager to offer a loan deal with a buy option of around €15 million plus €7 million in bonuses. It is still early days to speculate whether the move will materialise, although on paper, Emery’s side could be a good fit for Dewsbury-Hall. However, any movement will depend on Chelsea’s stance on the €35 million-rated summer signing.

Feel bad for him he was the only realistic player we were likely to get a decent fee for and we needed to sell at the time so he might not have wanted to go but also maybe wouldn’t want to be the reason we got any more trouble if he stayed . Hopefully we try a loan for him in jan if he is available
