Maddison

my opinion on keeping Maddison depends more on what formation Brendan wants to play, if its 343 I just don't see a place for him, he could only really play on the left of the 3 but we need Barnes there

Also true.

He was in incredible form until his injury. Similar to, say, Ricardo.

This place cannot forgive an expensive rucksack and a swagger.

no for me its more he talent is dwarfed by his ego, he thinks he's better than he is, remember when we used to laugh at the thought Grealish was better, its not even a debate.

Also that "incredible" run was about 2-3 games, he was poor before and after

Let's be fair, it's our way that we sell one a season to enable us to buy 2 or 3 to bulk the team out.  So far we've heard rumours that it could be Soyuncu, Tielemens and now Maddison.  Out of them three if we had to lose one it'd be Maddison all day for me.  On his day like others have said he's brilliant. But his day is literally one in ten games.

Take the money, add it to the pot we already can spend and make ourselves better "overall".

Maddison a strange one, ability is there. Can’t stay fit for a full season, questions of attitude but in interviews comes across completely different and attitude spot on. My main concern is this hip injury probably only gets worse as he gets older. Maybe best to cash in now.

Forgot the Covid Party and the promotion of a brand what totally embarrassed the city last summer?

I remember the fall out from the casino trip after pulling out of the England squad and it took it as Southgate over reacting but it’s been the start of some poor professional decision making in his time at City

And top it off, that injury he has is going to be chronic. You don’t take yourself off set pieces in fear of doing it again unless you know there’s a problem

Sell Maddison, loan / buy Coutinho instead? Still got Praet and Perez as squad options, plus more game time for Soumare and KDH.

I like Maddison and think he's a good player, but he's definitely in the Chilwell / Maguire bracket of being a sellable asset to the club which could be used to reinvest in the overall squad.

Perez is crap

Yes.. But i don't think i can emphasise the bad image on kroenke because of the super league. He's an arse but not an idiot. They like big name signings (in theory) anyways instead of investing wisely

Disagree. Owners couldnt give a toss.

Maddison is class,

unfortunatly players aren’t aloud to struggle when coming back from serious injuries

People are rightly concerned about that injury, it’s meant he has missed about 40% of games in the last 2 seasons.

Constant issues with discipline.

There’s the Covid party which clearly the club captain gave the nod to.

The casino incident wasn’t even that and it was with England not us.

What ellse has there been that can be substantiated?

It's not so much the games he's missed, as much as the games he's been clearly half-fit in and played 45-60mins and looked really leggy begfore having to been taken off because he's not fit enough to last the full 90.

Since the start of lockdown in March 2020, he's been either out injured or not fit enough to play the full 90 minutes for way more games than he has been fully fit.

I said a while ago I thought we had outgrown him. My reason for saying so is that Brendan is trying to increase the pace we play it.

While Maddison slows us down. His set pieces have been poor. He lacks pace to be an attacking threat and offers little in a defensive capacity.

While Maddison is a very good player he seems to have taken his eye off the Ball rightly or wrongly, Yes he's had a bad injury.

Going on rumors It seems Brendan might fancy Coutinho for the 10 role which could spell trouble for Maddison. It could also be a good business decision by the Club.

As for Arsenal, They're now a yellow pack Club so I don't see them spending the type of money we'd want for Maddison.

The thought of not having to watch another Maddison corner in a Leicester shirt ever again is enough for me to say let him go

But seriously, if the fee is decent then let him go. Out of all the players who could leave this summer he has to be one of the easier ones to let go.

We can forgive that, maybe not undermining the manager and going to a party before a game that ultimately cost us Champions League.

For the right money, he is replaceable.

The anger is disproportional. He wasn't the only one there by any means.
