I was getting annoyed with modern football diving for pens winning 1-0. Now I love it again.

The ITV commentary team have been embarrassing. Lauding France who have played well for about 15 minutes and capitalised in that period, when they’ve been outplayed for most of the match and should really have been 2-0 down.

 

France are the epitome of why modern football is dull - they have the best players by far but choose to play a physical, negative game at a slow tempo. Every football fan should hate them.

 

They’ll win the tournament but few admirers…again.
