Think we like him as he is one of the best pressing attackers in Europe in the last season. He has just shown he is more than that this tournament. Would still hope we sign bailey (after the gold cup), but this guys numbers apart from goals and assists are very very good.

No from me on the basis, he's been very average for Sampdoria after his summer move for 6m.

Whoever buys him now is going to pay over the odd after a small purple patch.

Risky signing for me. Could go either way. He could develop into a top class player or be another Kapustka (perhaps I've spelt this wrong, but I am sure you know who I mean). After all wasn't he signed on the back of  good performances in the Euros.

Not only bad for the club, but bad for the player. We nearly destroyed the Cabbage's career (admittedly, I am sure he made more from us than would playing for 15 years in the Polish league.)

Seen nothing to warrant a 40 million fee. Yes good strike, but nothing to his game to get me up off my seat consistently! His lack of pace will be exposed in the prem.

Seems a talent, was very odd when they took him and Dolberg off as it basically got rid of any threat to us.

But yes as others have said it's a decent free kick but not outstanding... If captain tiny arms wasn't in goal it would have been saved.

Wow, not heard of those rumours, that's more exciting than signing Dansgard!

2 + 2 = #perezout  lol

Rafa + Everton = He is 100% going to sign Perez, right?

...speculations, but that 8s what we all do on here..not a problem!!!

Rafa very much plays it by numbers and is very structured. There is no reason not to suppose he has a fully ready player who knows what he wants on the pitch.

Despite being a supporter (due to him being our player) of Perez, it would be sweet were it true!!

Like his lack of pace was exposed against Premier League players last night?

He didn't really standout last night- apart from the free kick. Even if you think he had a good game, I don't see him doing that consistently over a season in the Prem or having the potential to ever do it. If we paid 40 million, we would never see that value in return.

Buying after a good tournament is a classic error teams have made many a time. It's just slightly annoying in this instance as I'm sure someone had said we'd been looking at him before this. There'll be no value in it at all now.

He did a fair bit more than score the free kick. He has high natural ability  but there are rightly question marks over his physicality. He seems very similar to Maddison to me, minus the arrogance. Good free kick taker, great vision and has quick feet, but lacking overall pace and strength.

Unlike most you've spelt it correct.
