Great to see him apparently injury free last night. Expecting a great season from him

Tbh he needs a great season injury free or his stock will start dropping. Soumare will be a blessing for him taking some of the focus away. Its sad to see the amount he gets hammered given the lack of creative outlets.

Free kicks aren't worth much when no advantage is taken from them. Just slows down the match in the oppositions favor.

Bad news guy. Maddison is a long term target of Maddison…

on the same show yesterday another journo was on saying Maddison wasn't convinced about a move to Arsenal and the price was too high

sounds about right. either get fleeced and blow all their budget on one player or spend across a number of deals

...not sure I am following your logic!!!

In this scenario, bringing in two additional players to boost our squad plus a £30m payment to spend on someone like Pereira who is comfortable in the #10 role helps the team.

When we sold Mahrez, we spent that money in other areas which aided the team.

Ok, read the post again. Point 1, OBVIOUSLY there was no suggestion on the value of Nelson and/or Willock - I was talking about the cash received. I dont know how you've assumed that there is any suggestion on the market value of Nelson and/or Willock. It came across a bit daft.

Point 2, the question was genuine. Can we replace Maddison THIS season with £30 million. If we sign Pereira as you have suggested and play him 10, we're still short at right wing (which is the position we are targeting him for). Which means we are no better off but have lost an influential player (when fit) and have a new player (who has to adapt to the team etc.) filling in. The question then remains, how do we fix the right wing spot if one of our main (and affordable) targets is now our new number 8/10. Have we seriously progressed our squad if we are one injury away to our first teamers (including Soumare) if the replacements are not an upgrade to last season.

The process this club uses is to sell one player a summer and in a quite incredible way replace them without the team suffering. I struggle to see how we do that with £30million, getting Pereira in but playing him central rather then on the right and and maintaining progress. You may think differently.

However, none of the above alludes to Nelson or Willock having "no monetary value" as per your initial query which is why I was so confused as to your reasoning for asking.

Don't over think things.

So basically as we all thought.

Arsenal are interested in him. Leicester will sell, but for a crazy fee as we always do.

Arsenal don't want to spend a crazy sum.

Are they new to transfers?

There's enough Boohoo posters showing him in style at some London train stations and other outdoor advertising boards, so reckon this is set in stone..

@sacreblueits442 isn't the only one who thought you were making the well worn 'player + money = money because you think the player is shite' joke. The sark/straight ratio on here is so high it's usually dangerous taking the literal meaning of a post

Has anyone else noticed he always seems to edge his bets and never commit saying arsenal could go for Madison or they could not which means he can keep his reputation weather it happens or not. He is just guessing and has no clue

Not surprising since Arsenal do want him and we will sell if the price is right (as we would for ANY player).

I'm more confused now given it was meant as a joke. :D

He must realise that sure he may be noticed more around the world but that includes negatives too. If he had that party while an Arsenal player the scale of it would be completely blown up.
