All the talk of Man City 'B', but little mention that we had the whole back 4 missing most of whom would be starting.

Justin, Fofana, Evan, Castange

Would be better back 4 then most PL teams expect 4 or 5.

i cant be arsed looking it up but, id imagine the "value/expense" of their B team is still probably higher than the side we put out?

I think some said the team was worth 350m and there subs 150m

Ours was 150m, plus 70m subs.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned here, but anyone else think it was a terrible penalty by Nacho?

Not down the middle, not to the side and a perfect height for a keeper to save - I think he got away with that one!

...it wasn't a terrible penalty, it did go in!!!

We have seen much poorer penalties which equated to pass backs  to the keeper. I have seen him take three penalties recently, one he has missed and two he has scored.

I have little confidence when he steps up, I would rather have seen KDH take it, there is always this nagging feeling he is going to do something excruciatingly bad.

He had the bottle to step up and take it and got away with it. However, I think perhaps we should be looking at alternatives when Vardy is off the pitch. KDH took a decent one at Burton. Doesn't Daka take pens?

Did anyone at the Green Man see the guy with replica trophies knocking out photos at £10 a pop?  My friend bought both life size replicas from Ali Express $157 for the FA Cup and the Prem for $220.

Chatting with guy around 2.30pm and he said he also got them from there. I asked how much he had made so far, he said he genuinely didnt know but had punters from 9am in the streets and hadn't stopped since he arrived at the pub.

Quite the investment.

....if I recall, Nacho is very good in training, so far as penalties are concerned and apparently the best at taking them.

Good shout @Mark

I'm already missing the FA cup one.

I did have a look at that but the shape doesn't quite work like the FA Cup did, so unless anyone else can work something out :)

Could we have the trophies we've won recently in the middle of the banner - between the FoxesTalk logo and the buttons at the top right of the page:

And then under each trophy, the season/year we won it?

Some great stuff played yesterday, confident, on the front foot, clever angles, finding ways out of the press with 1-2's etc, Harvey, Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi all outstanding first half. Attitude spot on from the start, no way intimidated just going out for the win and the trophy. Bertrand not just solid but with the engine to get up and down and an option to take corners and Free Kicks. We had the frustrating quiet spell but importantly coped with the pressure (if you can call them stroking the ball around sideways harmlessly pressure), gave them just one or two glimmers through mistakes but the subs refreshed things and increased our tempo again.

Interesting thought now is that whereas previously we'd be reluctant to rest Vardy as Nacho would would have to come in on his own up front, the thought of a Nacho & Daka front pair while Vardy rests for League Cup or maybe a Europa game is a far more appealing one.

Thought the ref started to lose his authority in the last 20 mins, their shared deployment of the "Fernandinho" challenge to break up play (although to be fair we ironically did it to them a couple of times and ironically to him once), particularly with their sub CF who refused to back off from free kicks, the crowding round him at decisions and the attempts to delay the penalty, eventually he booked them but there's nothing to discuss, express your grievance then get out of his face, it's not a negotiation it's a decision. Just a general arrogance, identifying that there's one ref and we're (Man City) going to be the ones having the continuous dialogue with him. It probably seemed a lot longer than it was but every few seconds the penalty was delayed for I felt 5% less confident for Nacho, great mental strength to retain focus while GK refuses to get on line like an under 7's game in a playground.

Spent a moment thinking about poor Little Wes missing out but having seen his celebration footage feel better for him now though inside he must have been so frustrated.

Watching the coverage of the game, Matterface belittles us so much throughout the game.

"Leicester punching above their weight"

"More than our fair share of penalties last year"

1. We are punching above our weight.

2. And we did.

Not sure what's wrong with either thing he said.

Sam's a good friend of mine and he always texts me congrats when we do well. He's not some Leicester-hater that's for sure, quite the opposite.

The problem is it needs to fit into the mobile version of the site so can't take up alot of space

We didn't win more than our fair share of penalties, we won our fair share. They were all justly awarded. We didn't even get any of the handball type ones that were given early in the season!

A Man City mate of mine - who is one of the better ones and said well done for us winning it - said he was disappointed we booed Mahrez. Can anyone who has better hearing than me confirm?

I clapped him beforehand but then booed him during the game. He represents Man City now, no respect given. Also threw his toys out the pram and moaned about 2 lost years dunno why were supposed to just suck it up and be nice about it because Man City decided they wanted another squad player.

Booing a player is a bit petty and pantomime but in the grand scheme of things we've heard and witnessed from fans in recent weeks fairly minor.

The changes made a huge difference and got us over the line.

It's great to see our bench full of strength now, however it did also make it glaringly obvious we need another top winger. We have no one similar to what Barnes offers us. I'd take Dan James now as at least he can play on both sides and is lightening quick
