Booing a player is a bit petty and pantomime but in the grand scheme of things we've heard and witnessed from fans in recent weeks fairly minor.

Its just part of the pantomime that is football. Old players and managers get booed when they go back, especially if they left on ‘bad’ terms.

We boo players who were very good for us.

The changes made a huge difference and got us over the line.

It's great to see our bench full of strength now, however it did also make it glaringly obvious we need another top winger. We have no one similar to what Barnes offers us. I'd take Dan James now as at least he can play on both sides and is lightening quick

True. I would just like another pacey winger with similar attributes to Barnes. I think it suits our style well and if we lost Barnes to injury again, I think we would lose a real edge to our play.

It may not have seemed it once but I am more than happy to have Iheanacho over Mahrez now. Riyad is probably slipping but Kelechi is getting better. I certainly wouldn't swap.

I can't understand anyone boo'ing a player who was part of the 2016 title winning side.

....I would not boo a player, I would be embarrassed to do so!!!

But it is in context with the individual player, not because of what we achieved with him beforehand.

I was on a stag do yesterday so I’ve been keeping away from the result until I had chance to watch it today.

We’re getting into a very good habit of winning things.

Absolutely fantastic

...we do not need to have a Barnes replica!!!

A pacey winger is not a must have, it would be good to have one but not a must. An intelligent wide player who can read the game, bring people into the game and having an awareness within the game is a bigger plus.

Missing out on Pereira is a big loss and I felt he was the perfect fit for the role, having a symmetrical set up was not the format we had with Mahrez and we are at present unbalanced in the way our wide options operate and it seems to work. Bertrand does not have to bomb forward so much but pick his runs as we have Barnes as our outlet. With Ricardo constantly pushing forward to support, we would be better to have someone who drifts in, to allow the room for Ricardo to do his stuff.

It good to know the big talking point from yesterday according to 5Live’s daily podcast:

my point was more about if we lose Barnes to an injury. I get what you mean about the RW not needing to be a carbon copy, but if budget is tight as reported, then I think we need to look for a player who can also cover Barnes on the left and his strengths, i.e a Dan James type. Ideally, I'd like a top RW and Dan James, but we may not even get anyone at this rate.

One of the things I took from yesterday’s game is we have actual game changing options on the bench not just subs to rest legs . Our first eleven has been great for a long time but when we’ve been struggling we’ve had no real game changers on the bench . Our squad depth currently looks the best it’s ever been from my memory . All we need now is that pesky elusive right winger .

....the best I have seen Dan James play was on the Left Wing!!!

If we decide not to overcomplicate his game, then he will be fine in the role, but it will not be for £10m and anything around the £20m mark is too much to pay for an understudy. Unless it is not a long term injury to Barnes, then we can work through it, until he gets back. To have someone on the right who can create and stretch defences, would compensate for any time Barnes is out, at least we will still have an outlet.

We all saw what a missing Barnes from our team did to the formation, having a Right Winger in the team would have meant we could have kept a formation which was more on the front foot.

TBF the football daily should be renamed the top 4 daily. Other clubs barely get a mention even when they're the only teams that have played.

Waking up here on the US west coast to initially a feeling of pride and joy that my home town club has yet again achieved another amazing feat. Another trophy to add to the cabinet at the King Power. Watched the game with my 9 year old at home. I'm 1st gen english Born asian and proud of it. I've made a ton of friends throughout my life - people of all colors and creed. I'm a US citizen now but still proud to be British always have and will for all the good that my birth nation has given to me. My son is American but he wants to be a Brit lol. He supported England in the Euros and was devastated when they lost in the penalties. He wants to visit the KP, be a mascot and meet Vardy and Kasper his heroes. He wears his city kits day and night and shouts "Lester!" to anyone who cares to listen. He wants to see a game live at the KP so badly. We were visiting Golden Gate Park in San Francisco yesterday and was getting recognized for his city jersey being asked if it had Vardy on the back (of course it does) getting a thumbs up and high fives. Leicester is a global brand now my friends. Our ideals and under dog spirit has resonated with fans of ALL sports near and far. People love the Leicester city story. It's a HUMAN story at its very core that anyone can achieve the impossible when your accepting of others, have no bias, team up and believe in brotherhood of all to be the best you can be. Where am I going with all this? Well, reading about the Ian Wright getting openly abused yesterday by 'some' of our so called fans just put a dampener on my entire sunday. Why why why? Who are these morons. Can't be using intoxication of alcohol as an excuse for dispicable behavior. In fact all alcohol does is reveal the person you really are and if your a bigoted racist than that will be revealed in all its horror. I know there is a percentage of moronic thugs at every club and maybe I was naive in thinking I hope they never embarrass our club but they have. Maybe it was the same lot that shamed England at the finals? I want to believe in the ideals our club, our city, our players, our owners and us the good fans have achieved in the past decade. Racism is a societal problem but when it enters the safety and sanctity of the sporting stadium WE all are custodians of the atmosphere. We have to be brave and report these people and their behavior as and when we see it. Remember the "if you see it, report it!" moto during all the terrorist attacks? I'm not saying you confront the 6', 250IB drunken thug. Video it if you can and its safe and mention it discretely to the stadium authorities so the individuals can be identified quickly and ejected. There is no reason in this day with all the technology, power of the law and means to do it that this action cannot happen. No one of color should have to endure abuse or violence and if your white you should not have to suffer as a bystander seeing injustice but fearful of personal safety to intervene. It's horrible all around and the hurtful effect lasts a long time after the moment has passed. These incidents will continue to happen until the masses rises up against the few and say enough is enough "we've all had enough!". I can choose to stay away from a pub i know there will be trouble but I should not have to put my guard up going to a friendly sports game worrying about my personal safety or that of my friends or family. Harry Maguire said as much after the England game. If we the collective don't defeat this problem the villains win and thats not on. We cannot and should not go back to the dark ages. Stand up and be counted please. (so sorry to Ian Wright for what happened).

That's great to hear you're so proud of your roots and your son is becoming a supporter from afar.

I've got a spare flag and clapper from the game yesterday and I'd be happy to send out to you. PM me if you're interested

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but no way was the crowd 45,602 (official attendance).

That may have incuded 5-10,000 freebies given away, but not how many were there.

I'd say 19,000 City fans, 14,000 or so Man City fans (max), and maybe 4,000 neutrals (max).

37,000 absolute tops ... and I suspect a bit less.

My random not very scientific guess was just over 40,000.

It's a punch in the solar plexus. It's miserable, grim. But the universal condemnation by Leicester City fans lifts the spirits.

Less than half of our season ticket holders and members were there yesterday. The general ticket sale allowed in some that are not regulars and I suspect these abusers were amongst those. I don't know but I really hope that is the case and they never reappear in our crowd again.

Those club ideals that you correctly list are still intact. You can be sure of that.
