Leicester City have launched a new Supporter Code of Conduct to support COVID-19 safety, ahead of Saturday’s 2021/22 Premier League opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The safety of everyone attending fixtures at King Power Stadium is of the utmost importance to Leicester City Football Club and the new Supporter Code of Conduct has been introduced to help create as safe an environment as possible. The Supporter Code of Conduct is available here and supporters are asked to familiarise themselves with it before attending the stadium.

To minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission and to keep each other as safe as possible, the Club’s advice to its supporters is to take a lateral flow test at home before each fixture they plan to attend, as well as wearing face-coverings when in any indoor areas in the stadium.

For information on how to order a lateral flow test, click here.

If you are feeling unwell with COVID-19 symptoms or any cold or flu-type symptoms, please DO NOT come to the game. Book a test through the Government website or call 119.

Spot checks

New Premier League protocols mean there will be a phased introduction of checks for COVID-19 status certification on matchdays, whereby each supporter may be asked to show proof of a full vaccination and/or of a negative lateral flow test which has been taken within the last 48 hours.

No spot checks will be in place for Saturday’s fixture with Wolves. However, checks are likely to be introduced for subsequent matches at King Power Stadium. Adult supporters are encouraged to obtain a COVID Pass via the NHS App or NHS website so that they can provide proof of full vaccination and/or of a negative test within the past 48 hours, and supporters should be ready to show this when at the stadium. Details of how to obtain your NHS Pass is available here.

It is hoped that, by preparing now for a possible future scenario where COVID status certification is made a mandatory condition of entry to football matches, this will help to get everyone ‘match ready’ (and to keep each other safe).

In the interests of all supporters’ safety, the Club’s advice remains for all supporters to take a lateral flow test at home before they leave for the stadium, even if they are fully vaccinated, and only attend if receiving a negative result.

Do’s and Don’ts

Safety comes first, so supporters attending matchdays at King Power Stadium should:

- Obtain a COVID Pass and be ready to show they are fully vaccinated or have taken a negative lateral flow test in the last 48 hours
- Bring a face covering to wear while in any indoor areas in the stadium
- Arrive early and only sit in your designated seat
- Wash and sanitise your hands regularly
- Be respectful of others

Supporters should continue to follow the latest Government guidance and must not:

- Attend any match if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, test positive for COVID-19 or are otherwise required to self-isolate
- Gather outside stadiums in a way that breaches steward instructions
- Engage in any conduct that is intended to or likely to transmit the COVID-19 virus

Anti-Discrimination measures

New anti-discrimination measures have been implemented by the Premier League for the 2021/22 season as football continues to work to eradicate discriminatory behaviour in society.

Clubs have agreed to enforce league-wide punishments (which may include bans from all Premier League grounds) for any individual found to have behaved in a discriminatory or abusive way toward any club employee, player, match official, steward or fan attending a Premier League match – whether in-person or online.

For full information on the new measures, click here.

If you see or hear unacceptable behaviour on a matchday, report it. Please text 60066, starting your message with the word FOXES and seat details. For non-matchdays or to report any other discriminatory behaviour to the Club, contact [email protected] or call 0344 815 5000 (option 4).

Updates To Supporter Terms and Privacy Notice

Please note that LCFC’s 2021/22 supporter terms and conditions (and privacy policy) have been updated to reflect the introduction of the Premier League’s new anti-discrimination measures. Our Test and Trace Privacy Notice has also been revised in line with the latest Government guidance. The latest versions of these documents can be accessed via https://www.lcfc.com/terms.

Perhaps they should make important information more accessible and succinct. I can guarantee hardly anyone will read all that.

After all we've been through isn't it worthwhile reading? Folk were saying a few days ago that they hadn't seen any message from the Club, now they have and some are still not satisfied.

I think the Covid section is an abridge version of this document - https://resources.lcfc.com/leicesterfc/document/2021/08/10/700de381-3743-487d-a553-73f8e88dce8c/LCFC-Supporter-Code-of-Conduct-2021-22-v1.pdf

Perhaps separate articles would have been better and seen as more succinct.

The anti-discrimination crackdown is very vague. Are we still allowed to call the referee a w*nker?

As a former referee I have to say in my case it was probably fair comment

So until Covid passports are passed as being mandatory, will the spot checks result in words of advice?

I am double jabbed, but just curious as to if things are going to be enforced or if they are just preparing for when things will be enforced.

This code of conduct is pathetic.

I’m speaking as someone who is pro-vaccine and double-jabbed at the first available opportunity but there are a lot of people currently who don’t trust that COVID is not being used as a smokescreen to introduce harsher restrictions on people’s freedoms. Not to say that COVID is a hoax but to say that it’s presented an opportunity.

Unfortunately when you read things like this, see the concept of vaccine passports being pushed for people to do things that were previously a simple everyday freedom and hear about some of the bills the government is trying to pass to limit exposure on their failings and the ability to protest… it’s hard to see those people as the paranoid fantasists they might previously have been legitimately portrayed as.

So much in here smells of “bad old football fans who need controlling and restricting” and some very vague warnings about what might get you a ban or refused entry.

I'm with you on a lot of this. Unfortunately, there is precedent (recent at that) for enough people who attend the football who cannot be trusted to sit the right way round on a toilet.

Code of conduct is here

https://resources.lcfc.com/leicesterfc/document/2021/08/10/700de381-3743-487d-a553-73f8e88dce8c/LCFC-Supporter-Code-of-Conduct-2021-22-v1.pdf

COVID-19 Supporter Code of Conduct

This COVID-19 Supporter Code of Conduct forms part of the terms and conditions and expected behaviour which are applicable to your attendance at the King Power Stadium. It may be updated at short notice, as circumstances change in respect of the COVID-19 pandemic.

THIS CODE IS DESIGNED TO HELP CREATE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE ENVIRONMENT AND TO PROTECT YOU AND YOUR FELLOW SUPPORTERS. TO ASSIST OUR STAFF AND STEWARDS PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO KNOW WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY WITH THIS CODE, YOU MAY BE DENIED ENTRY OR ASKED TO LEAVE THE STADIUM AND MAY SUFFER FURTHER SANCTIONS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE CLUB.
YOU MUST READ AND AGREE TO FOLLOW THIS CODE AT ALL TIMES. IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED TICKETS ON BEHALF OF OTHERS, PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ALSO READ THIS CODE OF CONDUCT.

Before purchasing a ticket, and again before attending a match, you must decide whether it is appropriate for you to attend, including careful consideration of associated risks and your vulnerability status. This will include consideration based on your own personal circumstances (including your age, group size and make up, health status and susceptibility to infection).

The Club cannot completely eliminate the risk of COVID-19. Therefore, if, you feel uncomfortable with the risk, you should not attend a Match.
You MUST NOT attend if:

• You or anyone else you are attending with has any COVID-19 symptoms and/or is required to self-
isolate

• Any other COVID-19 restrictions affect you which mean you cannot or should not attend. You MUST:

• Bring a face-covering to wear in all indoor areas. Government have stated they “expect and recommend that members of the public continue to wear face coverings in crowded and enclosed spaces where you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet”. Therefore, all supporters aged 11 or over are expected and recommended to wear a face covering whenever located in indoor areas, other than when eating or drinking, or where exempt. Face coverings are not required to be worn by Supporters when they are seated in the Stadium bowl, which is left to personal choice.

• Plan your journey in advance to arrive in good time to go through all the necessary entry procedures.

• Make sure you know in advance where your entry point is and (where applicable) if any entry time
is specified on your ticket, be there on time.

• Supervise any children attending with you and ensure that they and others attending with you follow this Supporter Code of Conduct at all times.

• Be respectful to others in your vicinity (supporters and staff) taking a responsible approach to others, particularly those in close proximity, including avoiding excessive shouting/singing/celebrations as that increases the risk of transmission of COVID-19. You should avoid hugs, high-fives and any unnecessary close contact with people who are not known to you.

• Follow good hygiene practices at all times, including;
- Washing or sanitising your hands regularly, using the hand sanitiser dispensers provided -
supporters are also encouraged to bring their own hand sanitiser in bottles no larger than 50ml;
- Avoiding unnecessary contact with commonly touched surfaces such as handles and railings wherever possible and safe to do so;

- Ensuring your mouth and nose is covered if you need to cough or sneeze, using your face covering, a tissue and/or the crook of your elbow as appropriate. Tissues should be disposed of carefully and safely and you should ensure you wash or sanitise your hands appropriately.

• Only sit in the seat with the seat number that matches that on your ticket and remain in your seat whenever possible.

• Where possible wait for times when gangways are clear before leaving your seat and always follow the signs indicating which way to go.

• Avoid face-to-face contact with other Supporters when moving to and from your seat – for example by turning your back as you pass.

• When using the Stadium’s amenities, such as toilets, food and drink outlets, or concessions, avoid queues wherever possible by checking to see if any of them are not in use, or following the instructions of stewards and other staff members.

• Comply with all other relevant guidance and rules related to COVID-19 protection, including those of the government and public health authorities.

• Follow any instructions or requests given to you by stewards or other Stadium staff to ensure that the Stadium is carefully managed for everyone’s safety.

You MUST NOT:

• Attend the Stadium if you have any COVID-19 Symptoms (including a high temperature, a new
continuous cough, a loss of sense of taste/smell).

• Gather outside of the Stadium before or after the match in a way that breaches the instructions of stewards or other club staff.

• Engage in any conduct that is intended to transmit the COVID-19 virus to another person or any conduct that can be reasonably construed to be intending to transmit the COVID-19 virus to another person. If you do, you will be ejected from the Stadium, the Police will be contacted, and you will be subject to the Club’s sanction tariff including but not limited to a lifetime ban.

If you feel ill or develop any COVID-19 symptoms while at the match please contact your nearest steward who will direct you to the appropriate medical facility.

Please be aware that as a condition of being allocated a ticket, you will need to provide your contact details (and those of other members of your party) to support and assist NHS Test and Trace. This information will be kept securely for 21 days before disposal.

Please read the data privacy notices as published on www.lcfc.com/terms relating to this use of your personal information.

All other terms and conditions and Ground Regulations will continue to apply and must be complied with.

Thank you for your support and co-operation

What’s with the no bags bigger than A4 sized? That’s a new thing. They’re copying Wembley, hope it isn’t going to be as strict as it is there, with bags being measured in the way in

Thank you reminding me why I hate human beings so much (not directed at you btw!)

I'd love to know what these people consider 'their freedoms'. Governments and commercial organisations could destroy said freedoms at a moment's notice because of the 'freedoms' we all gave up by moving to smart technology/connected society. Data is everything and they could easily stop things before they happen and before there's legislation that allows them to impose on perceived freedoms. But, they're not stupid enough to do so as it will bring their world's crashing down, in the west at least.

Not to say that there isn't reason to be strongly opposed to some of the stuff that goes on, and certainly there is always need for things like protests but these people are so far wide of the mark.

Let's see how much of this stuff is actually enforced, and for how long. Got a feeling it might be a little underwhelming.

It’s all a bit of a hodgepodge really

After the Wolves game they are “likely” to conduct spot checks on people’s Covid status, without specifying what happens after the check

All people who are double-jabbed will be asked to bring proof, and those who aren’t to take a test (just in case they get checked)

And then separately, they are asking everyone (including the double-jabbed) to take a test before every game as a courtesy

All a bit confusing if you ask me

Which has been taken time and time again to the point the victims of it actively seem to wish for it. Pretty staggering turn of events that I'd never have imagined possible.

I suspect they’ve had minimal guidance from the PL and in turn the govt - hardly surprising really.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but how do you see your Vaccination status on the NHS pass? I have the app and got my details authenticated, taking the video, etc. But When I tap on the "How to get an NHS Pass" part there's nothing under the Vaccination status bit.

I imagine because I only got my second jab about 10 days ago it hasn't shown up yet. But is that correct?
