I'm not so sure about this. I think they might relocate the carpark under another outline app once the e.on land parcel has been dealt with and move it their. It gives great scope to re develop the South stand. Otherwise it's the North stand and to re configure the main road around it.

Have you read the last couple of pages of this thread? There was a webinar on the 25th, and there is some interesting stuff from it.

I agree that it would be good to relocate the multi-storey car park to leave room for expansion behind the South stand, but the club do not (currently, at least) own the land the Eon building is on.

The West stand can apparently be expanded. Craven Cottage's expansion over the Thames was cited as an example.

Of course I've read it, everyone knows I'm obsessed by these infrastructure projects 🤫.

A West Stand extension would mean you wouldn't get to bolt the stand in within the summers out-season. The engineering alone would cost millions upon millions. You'd also lose the ability to use the club staff/players private car park unless you construct a James band underground tunnel.

E.on can apply for an outline consent for a multi storey car park amd then sell it on to us.  it doesn't need to be left in our ball court.

They mentioned that away fans will stay where they are although that became a bit vague when talking about joining the away concourse. Is it currently separated?

New East Stand to be first part of the development (opening scheduled for 2024) before other buildings constructed although timings could be reviewed due to living in a post-pandemic world.

Raw Dykes Monument to be preserved with improved information boards etc.

Could be a return of Pukka Pies.

Susan Whelan is very good.

Yes mate the away concourse is currently split. We have the big access tunnel in the middle of the away end. So the first block next to the family stand has its own little bit.

I was wondering what 'new profile' of supporter meant but reading this has clarified it.

Is there any reason why a multistorey car park behind the South Stand couldn't be part of the structure of an expanded stand?

They might think about it for the shopping complex but not for the football stadium - too many people leaving at a similar time and into high concentrations of pedestrians. They won’t want to encourage on site parking for anyone other than blue badges or those staying at the hotel.

If you care about the atmosphere within the ground post expansion, please take a moment to send an email stating your interest in a safe standing section as part of the development. We have provided a template email on the link below that can be sent to [email protected]

Thank you.

Get involved if you haven't already.

First complaint on the planning page. Funnily enough they live at the new development opposite the stadium over the river. Perhaps they should have thought about living near a stadium before they moved in.

You cannot buy a property near a Football Stadium and then complain about noise issues.  Every Airport in the UK would be shut done by now.

That's exactly how it works. Stories of people doing exactly that after buying property under the Heathrow flight path.

There's a music venue in Central Bristol that is under threat of closure due to noise pollution following complaints by residents in newly converted flats in the locality. The venue has been there for years but the residents haven't been.

With regards to their last point re single access to the estate I fairly confident in saying that the plans for that site included a bridge to Western Boulevard/Raw Dykes Road and it was never intended for the Upperton Road exit to stay. So maybe he should talk to those responsible for building his house

Reject the complaint. They keep referring to a Pubic Address System as a Tannoy. Huge red flag.

Perhaps they clean their house with a Hoover

100% this! I bought one of these buggers off plan when Barratt Homes made it look like this was going to be an amazing development. Unfortunately the global financial crisis put a mocker on the prices and they never followed up with the bridge. Really pi**es off that they get away with it. The pylons were supposed to come down and a bridge put in

Seriously, This is really a complaint about things that are already present. The tannoy, generators and emergency alarm system is still going to be there with or without the expansion. The live music will probably move to the other side of the stadium towards the fans village anyway.

This person really is using the opportunity to complain about current issues and not concerns about the development.

The public consultation has ended and only one negative comment on the council portal, I think.

I'm sure there will be more once the planning application is submitted.
