Wasn’t there a rumoured agreed fee if they wanted to make it permanent? Of the top of my head thought I had read between €15m-€18m (if I’m remembering correctly).

It was reported at the time that that we only paid around  £18 million for him so it won’t be a huge fee

It is €15m for them to make it permanent

Would be their 2nd most expensive transfer ever

If we had kept him here, he could have come on instead on Tielemans who was having a off day and needs a rest, maybe he's mentality tired. But knowing Brendan he wants Tielemans to perform wonders in every game

yeah, he would've come on and done nothing

As opposed to us fans who only want him to perform wonders every 2 or 3 games?

If we had kept him here he still wouldn’t have played anymore than a couple of games so far and would still be annoyed at his lack of play time.

He's not here because he wouldn't have come on.  Manager won't use him, what's the point in having him in the squad?

It's not that at all.

We unquestionably played our best football last season when Tielemans, Praet and Castagne all played together. Around Christmas time last year there were many posts on here saying Praet brings the best out of Tielemans and Maddison and Tielemans don't work together, that was probably the popular opinion amongst Leicester fans this time last year and Praet absolutely was playing well back then.

He doesn't have to be special to get in the side right now when Maddison has 1 goal and 0 assists in about 30 games and we are expecting him to bring the best out of Tielemans.

Great point, I also remembered how good Belgium were when Praet was playing along side Castagne and Tielemans, their understanding of each other brought the best out in each other.

Think some people think Praet is rubbish because they seen him play as an alternative to Tielemans or Castagne and not seen when they play games together

You just said he should've come on as a replacement for Tielemans?

Well he wouldn't because we could only make 3 subs and we had to change shape at half time with Lookman and Barnes and if we'd brought Praet on instead of Daka as the 3rd sub at 2 nil down then people would have had a seizure.

He is doing alright at Torino to be fair. Getting game time and scoring.....

MOTM as well.

The whole Praet debacle was a total botch job for the manager and the club.  We'll regret that.

Adrien silva just sent off in the same game …..

Another one who should have been in our team today. And Slimani, should never have let them both go.

Easily forgotten that Youri's first season when we also signed Praet, he was absolute doggo. Same as Maddison this year, just had a kid, looked like he was towing a caravan half the time, couldn't complete a pass. Praet came in and smashed it. It was only the following season that Praet was benched for Youri and didn't get the game time. He'll get bracketed in there with flops like Slimani and Silva but there's a proper box to box player in there if he gets a run. Selling him would be a huge mistake.
