Maybe a mass email to the club in support of the UFS tifo might underline the appetite for crowd funded displays at the KP.

Social media may have a better impact

Such marvellous creativity. You can really feel the passion just emanating from the agency paid over the odds by the club to come up with that, not to mention the minimum wage staff paid to set it up. It's what football's all about.

What do you expect when you're overpaying an Aberdeen fan to put on a "tifo" for LCFC?

Looks like something out of Pro Evo lol

For a club so successful on the pitch and successful off it in the board room, some of the stuff the club does around matcjday experience is an absolute abomination, not to mention the media side of things. Honking

I almost certain they’re using the babies off the haribo advert, that’s the level the match day experience is on.

If I ever see that ****ing shittt light show again with that disgusting greatest showman song, I will puke.

Just my opinion

I think that type of thing is likely to happen as you grow as a club, you get more of the tourist type supporters at the home games.

It doesn’t help either that the match day experience is tailored towards family’s. The club don’t want pissed up blokes in the ground singing and chanting, they want people just sitting there banging the clappers.

Go on to most fan forums and you can read the exact same conversation and opinion. It's not unique to us, it's the way of modern supporting and is here to stay unless football reverts to being unsexy again.

True but there are teams that certainly do it better... I'm not expecting anything amazing, just a return to what we were

The way I see it is that the club obviously had something planned which is why it was a no this time, hopefully next time the UFS guys can get theirs out.

Exactly this! 10% of fans in the grounds care about atmosphere these days and that's it. The clubs don't and I'm not sure the majority of modern footballers care either to be honest.

Go to a country where the fans hold some power and where the fan culture is similar to ours in the 80's and 90's and you will find the atmosphere and unfortunately clubs like us wouldnt want to be associated with this culture it isnt good for their brand and future investors. This is a sad state of affairs but its speaking the truth

I don't think you'll find a club in the premier league where the fans are happy with their atmosphere. All can be loud at times but the majority aren't great. I don't think i have been to a league game in the prem and felt intimidated and almost jealous of the atmosphere certainly not in the last 10 or 15 years away.

All groans aside, most excited I’ve been for a game down the KP in a long time.

We missed the opportunity to play an Italian side and a decent name at that last time out in Europe.

Managed to wrangle an unofficial early finish today. The sun is out too.

It's true but not irreversible. There are teams that maintain a good atmosphere. The worrying thing is that we haven't always been like this. Man city are different. They've always had a silent stadium.

Can’t really openly say the ins and outs on here but it was not like this.

I disagree about most modern footballers not caring.

Just watching the Brugge game last night shows you what kind of a lift a good atmosphere gives players. We’ve seen it first hand in the title winning season.

On another note, I genuinely can’t hear myself think pre-match with how loud the fvcking music is. Zero chance of even trying to build an atmosphere with all the shite they put on.

I am one of those families at the stadium, and yeah, I don't want pissed up blokes singing and chanting; I don't mind the chanting and singing, but I seriously don't enjoy the walk home with elementary school children when a bunch of drunk fans are obviously looking for trouble.

I have enjoyed the tifos we have seen over the years, but if you can't separate the displays from loutish behaviour -- and I seriously don't see why you can't -- I can understand the club's trepidation.

Complaining about families at the stadium, as if it's somehow destroying the game, isn't helpful.

People have been slating the atmosphere at the KP/Walkers on this board for the last 15 or so years. At this point its just part of the culture.

When a club becomes more successful the interest in said club expands and naturally would attract more people that are looking to have a more tourist like experience and hopefully enjoy a good game of football. Its part and parcel of being in the Premier League. I don't think many fans at all would trade winning the League and FA Cup to go back to touring every single dive in League One because of the Atmosphere (Those days were fun though I won't lie).

The club has evolved and so has modern football, with the money involved and the attention football gets it will never go back to what it was like 20-30 years ago. Personally I don't mind what people do at the football, they've paid their ticket and as long as they aren't harassing people they can do whatever they want. The worst type of 'fans' are the ones that sit there loudly and consistently berating their own supporters, i've never seen such ignorance and entitlement in my entire life. It definitely contributes as to why lots of people don't get involved because they feel intimidated. Granted its died down in recent years but still, live and let live. People might find that things improve and they might enjoy the game more if they stop worrying about why other people aren't enjoying the football the same way they do.
