I like the idea of an ultras group…. I think the problem is the club fear it promotes hooliganism or perhaps the club don’t want vociferous atmosphere incase again, it leads to violence. I just don’t think the club like the image of an ultras group.

Napoli fans will be something else.

In terms of display Legia Warsaw will be incredible - and you can bet it will be a dig at the footballing authorities

UFS have never claimed once in 8 years to be "ultras" despite the labels people have tried to pin on us :)

I'd imagine this is a passive aggressive move by the club as payback for UFS occasionally using their voice to get some contrary views across. The fans will still be here long after those that make these decisions. However well they run the football side of things (which they do brilliantly!), I don't think the execs will ever truly understand supporters.

Its honestly an embarrassment for the club and its supporters. Remember seeing (on tv) a Dortmund tifo in 2013 when they were playing Malaga in the Champions league.  Brought tears to my eyes the passion of that. It was then that I truly understood the importance of European football and what it meant to you. Sad that people with money think that technology will inspire human emotion. Found it!

Can I ask what the process has been previously?  When you did a tifo, did you have to run it by the club first?

Has there ever been a tifo that subsequently the club were un happy about?

I presume you have a lead time - so what is the times scale for the club saying yes go ahead?

I think there should be more goal music. In fact, why stop there? What if the game is nil-nil?

I want music for corners too.

More cheerleaders too.

You lot are boring.

Plastics.

Bring back the Foxy Ladies.

Need something non controversial to be fair, i'd like to see something like "Israel has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world but is experiencing the worst fourth wave on the planet, vaccine passports are akin to the yellow star, UP THE FOXES"

I think we can all sympathize with your cause and we will all ALWAYS support what you are trying to do..

But  might I suggest that thinly vailed  attacks/ insults  aimed at the very people who’s support you are trying to  get might not be the best way to go about things…

A fans’ group independent from the official supporter groups the club has are not there to bend their communication to the whims of the club. They’re there to hold them accountable and to offer the wider fan base representation.

As far as I can see, the communication is always spot on. Fair, reasoned and clear.

Union FS is a fans’ group the rest of the fan base should be proud of. Brilliant tifos, excellent initiatives like the food bank collections and advocates for a good atmosphere and safe-standing.

The problem is that 90% of our fan base fail to separate the ownership from the people who run the day-to-day operation of the club (the two fall on different parts of the good to poor spectrum) and, because of the title win, believe the club has earned impunity.

Added to that, the club shows time and time again a resistance to anything that could jeopardise complete and utter control: all-seater stadium preference, marketing controlled displays, restrictive ticketing policies… they’re petrified to relinquish any ounce of control over the fan base.

I understand they are there to hold the club accountable and I agree with most of what you are saying but as someone has said above, If it’s always confrontation it becomes difficult to help out.

Be assured that a post like this is pretty much the last resort after, in this instance, upwards of 6 months of polite emails and "we'll wait to hear from you" type comms.

That’s the bit we all don’t see obviously. It’s a strange one because I know the club are closer to some of the other fan groups, probably for PR reasons as much as anything.

Not a dig.

But I was looking at the UFS photos and notice a lot of people had their face blur out.

Just wondered why?

Also not sure it helps you cause having photos of graffiti in the galleries, as it could be deemed by a few people as anti social behaviour.

Love the tifo's alway amazing work.

It's strange to think they'd all be in their late 50's or so now, just shuffling around Cheapside with a bit of muffin top on show.

And on a similar topic, what is this sticking stickers everywhere all about?

Id genuinely like to understand what it’s all about and what the point is? Just seems like littering and graffiti to me.

Recently went to Palma in Majorca which was pretty much full of Germans and stickers were on practically everything, it did the place a disservice.

I really don’t understand it and would be intrigued what the thinking behind it is?

Very poor from the club that though a real shame.

Sorry mate, it wasn’t in anyway a dig at you guys, I love the work you do. I was just wondering if the clubs lack of wanting to play ball with you is because of how the big European ultras appear to be tarred with the ‘hooliganism’ brush.

I’ll definitely be donating to your cause. The ‘let slip the dogs of war’ Tifo was an absolute favourite.

I suppose it depends where they are. In the pub before the charity shield they were plastered all over the toilet wall, some of them years old, quite liked reading them, bit of history from teams that had made it to Wembley over the years from all levels.
