I doubt Rodgers will start Perez as he'll be saving him for the weekend, having no doubt convinced himself that Perez' absence has been the root of all our struggles. Could see Choudhury in for Soumare though. We definitely need to see Lookman.

Changes yes, but it should be strong. Vestergaard and Soyuncu need to keep playing together, Soumare needs to get used to it, Maddison needs to try and find some confidence. Daka and Iheanacho to play.

Pretty sure Maddison’s performance today consigns him to Carabao Cup & Europa League starts for a while, but subject to him starting I think the team will be more or less this one. Hugely important that we win, though I’m neither buying nor in fact reading the doom-mongering that’ll be elsewhere on here. Given Evans’ problem, Soyuncu’s form, Ricardo, Barnes & Maddison all coming back from serious injuries, I’ve always felt that we won’t hit our straps until late October/November. Need to win this, Burnley home and Legia away, in which case we may be able to give Man U a game come the day… 1

For me he's shown enough in his 3 cameo appearances to warrant the start in a big game. We've looked better every time he's been on the pitch. He was exciting against Man City and Napoli and almost game-changing against Brighton. I wasn't too excited when we signed him, but he looks like a great acquisition! He attacks the game! So I'd start Perez or Albrighton instead. Amarrey, KDH and Daka should definitely start. Nacho I feel should also be in the first XI but perhaps is paired up front with Daka in this one. I'd start Maddison for sure because he should not be playing in the Premier League games, but games against lower league opposition could help play his way back into form. The only issue is Milwall might play direct and bully us out of the game, which won't be good for him. 1

After seeing Europa would rodgers play Daka over nacho in that striker position?
