DON'T. BOO. YOUR. OWN. PLAYERS.

Reacting with disappointment to Lookman going off? Unhelpful but OK.

Making a point of continuing to boo Madders when he came on? Fvck right off. (And don't insult us by pretending nobody was.) He's not a crap player he's just out of form and low on confidence and throwing abuse at him isn't going to fix it.

Do these people learn nothing? That was literally Iheanacho not that long ago

Edit: oh and if you want to identify some of the people doing it, they'll be in this thread pretending it didn't happen.

100% behind you on this mate.

I would say we are up there atm. Because of what we have experienced our fan base has now become expectant spoilt brats.

Thankfully a small (but highly irritating) minority. Definitely detracts from the match day experience

You know nothing about me knowing nothing about player fitness.

That literally makes no sense. You could see from the stands he was struggling or he wouldn't be taking on gels and tablets.

Yeah I agree it’s pretty bad. Everyone round me going mental when we played a pass. I get it that we should attack more under Rodgers but sometimes the only pass on is backwards it sidewards, no need to boo every time ffs.

Exactly it's frustrating but football has become like chess. You have to make for your opponent to make a mistake. These are all elite players if they play for Burnley or wolves or man city. The margin for error is so small these days.

Swear most of our fans would prefer us to lump it long and lose it rather than recycle the ball by playing it backwards.

100% was for Lookman coming off. It lasted a few seconds when everyone realised who was going off, then he got a standing ovation. Then I heard no boos for Maddison coming on.

Loads of booing from the back of SK when Maddison came on.

Maddison was booed on. Maybe you didn't hear it where you were but it definitely happened

Partly. People were defo booing maddison which don’t surprise me with our mongy fans

How do you know which people were booing Maddison and which were booing the decision to take lookman off ?

I just presumed the booing was for the latter

Whatever happened to support and not just booing everything you disagree with? I was pissed off with the move but I didn't boo, it helps no one and makes everything worse. Yes we've all got high expectations now but unfortunately we're not just going to beat everyone we 'should' be beating. Booing Rodgers decisions at this stage is criminal

Rightly or wrongly the booing was at the decision, at Rodgers.

As i've said i'm past getting frustrated at Maddison being played, he doesn't pick himself.

I just think booing is bizarre full stop as an adult, you look like a right a pr*ck.

Is is extremely odd behaviour. I wonder what else they boo in their day to day life.

Keep booing the players, get their confidence shot to pieces and then pay less to see them in the championship potentially then.  We should know better than any club what happens when we have a toxic atmosphere around the place and what happens when it's buzzing with confidence and positivity. Why should your sense of entitlement to boo ruin it for the majority who have paid premium prices too? We are supporters by definition no? Supporters don't boo just because of a run of a few bad games one of which was a complete robbery at Brighton

Not being funny, but this is an awful response lol. For the record I didn't go today, nor would I boo, but a lot of the people in here are people who didn't go slagging off the people who go every week. Any premiership football that's confidence is shot to bits because of a few gammons booing shouldn't be playing at this level

What a terrible, entitled and selfish view to take. Always the most brain dead response on the matter ‘ooh I pay my ticket price I can do what I want’

Again I didn't boo, I didn't go. I just hate these stupid threads that always come up and it's usually happy clappers slagging of matchday going fans.

Ah, I see, you see yourself as a customer,  not a fan. A really rude customer, mind.

Tbf I think its genuinely hard not to have that mentality with the modern game.

Fans were booing because that idiot of a manager took off our best player.

Why not Barnes or Tilemans.

Honestly for me.

Tielemans been dog shit since and needs benching.

Barnes has been dog shit and needs benching.

Maddison been dog shit and finally has been benched  it looked hungry when he came on.

Perez shouldn't get a game unless in cups.

Ihanacho needs to be starting games.

The first sentence makes you sound very silly.

Trouble is we don't recycle. And sadly if Kasper gets it at the moment. So does the opposition, usually with a throw.

Well lets say daka came on instead of maddison. You think people would carry on booing as he ran on the pitch. Nah they would stop and start applauding. This didn’t happen with maddison

Well I’ll agree that they certainly seem to want customers rather than fans.

But even customers shouldn’t boo, if only because it’s rude.
