Goodness me, he’s an absolute legend for us - and also more recently Denmark.

I’ve always felt he’s been under the radar which has helped us no end in keeping him here, we’d never have attracted a better keeper and he in effect after his service is one of our own. Cost us very little and has given so much over the years - I remember the days when Walker was my favourite keeper and he had some absolute shocking moments.

We’d have been lucky if the same was said for Mahrez, Kante or Youri, he’s one who also has been very loyal to us. I hope he wins it as he’s deserved awards before 🦊

he's been one of our go to players for an interview and his national teams number one for around a decade and is Peter's son, he's never been under the radar in his career, they didn't buy him because they don't think he's good enough

Yeah and that brings with it a more biased view, he’s under more criticism than most due to that in my opinion. We wouldn’t have won an FA Cup without him in goal - seriously

While I agree he’s had the spotlight because of his dad it does make it more difficult in someways - and no about the move, it’s mostly because he was loyal to us and was treated right by our owners. He is paid well, but deary me he earned it, we’ve won so many things with him in between the sticks. He, like Vards has integrity about where he hangs his hat, a rare thing in football - and you’d prefer him to have gone? 😂 mate come on, I appreciate your comment but it’s just very much balanced on the idea that if a player is very good they leave us 😆 that has been the case but here (once again like Vards) he didn’t

Kasper is a strange one. He clearly went to Notts County for the supposed money.

He’s got brilliant reflex’s and handling but has average distribution, command of his area and is rooted to his line more than you’d like.

Similar to De Gea, Gulaski, Szczeny and Handonovoc in a way, that his limitations stopped him from pushing onto a one of the current UCL Elite clubs but had earned success. He’s in that bracket just below the world class goalkeepers, such as Oblak, Stegen, Neuer, Donnaruma etc, however we’re externally lucky to have him.

He has really stepped up for Denmark as well. I wouldn’t begrudge him a move away from us at the end of the season, as he deserves a crack at a major club in European football.

He doesn't come for corners and he kicks the ball with his eyes closed but he's a Leicester legend and one of our greatest ever signings in my book.

Must also be based on how much you have a go at your own team, the ref and linos

Well at least he shows passion to win. Some of his more stale teammates might learn something there.....

You are right. And tbf remember that weird period in 2016/17 when he was injured and Ron Robert Ziegler was in goal. Awful awful memories

given all our top players have attracted interest over the years and teams above us replacing keepers the fact he never got any interest should tell you his level, he is a midtable-upper midtable keeper, which is perfectly respectable, but some in our fanbase insist in claiming he's top 5 in the league, his distribution and lack of ability to claim the high ball put pay to that for me

Really? And who are the five better keepers in the league? You've even got Allison on this list who had a worse spell for Liverpool this year than Kasper has ever had for us. But then if you want to give credence to that list, it's the 2nd possibly 3rd time he's been shortlisted, so that says something

Signing a keeper isn't like other positions either. There's only 1 spot and even though they play for longer than outfield players, you're not exactly going to spend £50m+ or whatever we'd demand for a 30+ year when you can get a much younger keeper for similar price. Then you factor in that he's been the vice captain that whole time, consistently one of the highest earners, we don't sell many first team players, he's been undisputed number 1 and had plenty of European football, why would he have been sold? He's been strongly linked to Man United, Chelsea, Real Madrid in more than one transfer window and since that's really the only indication we have that there's been interest, puts pay to that theory.

Of course he has some weaknesses, particularly with coming off his line for crosses/corners but he's one of the best around and has been for the better part of a decade.

I genuinely believe he's one of the best keepers around.

Constantly underrated.

Expensive imports get the headlines...Lloris, De Gea, Kepa, Ederson...

Kasper is up there.

The others I've mentioned all cock up, most of them have done it against us.

We give Kasper a hard time because we watch him every week.

Proud of him. His mistakes are magnified because a goalkeepers mistakes often cost goals, a striker making a mistake isn't seen as significant.

For me, he's a legend and should have a statue. As important as Vardy, Tielemans, Ndidi, Mahrez, Kante...

Shite at kicking though

And how hard you kick the posts before hoofing the ball into the 50th row.

Chelsea were interested in 2018 before they signed Kepa, and again last year before they signed Mendy

Pretty sure there was stuff about Man Utd being interested in him as well last year as well when De Gea was all over the place and Henderson was still at Sheff Utd

5th in the best league in the world.
Fa cup winner

Semi final in euros

Conceded 3 goals in qualifying for the World Cup.
Of course he should be on the list , Mendy will win but deserved no doubt.

Considering who his father was .who played the same position, he’s had a fantastic career .

In our most successful teams in history and yet some still jest . Everything that’s wrong with this club atm ….

We are LCFC.

Kasper is a great character, clubman and a credit to his profession . His penalty and shot saving is among the best ever but Leicester City have had Banks,Shilton and Keller so he has a lot to live up to.

speaking of people sneaking on lists.... kasey? really?

I really don’t think as a supporter base we appreciate how good a goalkeeper Kasper is. It won’t be until we have to replace him that some will realise we do have one of the best goalkeepers in the world right now.

Disagree, he's not one of the top 5 keepers in the world, not a chance.

He's good for us but then we're a midtable also ran.

He has too many key weaknesses and actually the more you look at it he's a goalkeeper of yesterday, modern keepers are leaving him behind imo.

Midtable also ran? Okay if you want to look at the last 12 games rather than a player who has been instrumental in us winning the PL, finishing 5th two season in a row and winning the FA Cup.
A goalkeeper who has an outstanding Euro 2022 and didn’t concede a goal in the first 8 games of qualifying for the World Cup.

He has saved us in the FA Cup final, saved penalties in the Champions League knock out stages, saved a Harry Kane penalty in the Euros 1/4 final.
Who is and isn’t the best, top 5 or top 10 in the world is all subjective, what he is, is a world class goal keeper, and a great bloke who we will find it nearly impossible to replace.

He is an exceptional goalkeeper and although some rant on about his distribution and command of the 6 yard box remember all "great" players have their weaknesses. Just look at Ronaldo missing a penalty!!

On balance his shot stopping abilities, sense of positioning and world class saves far outweigh those rush of blood moments to the head.

Old man shouts at cloud moment as this is a modern cultural thing rather than a Leicester thing…..

Why the hell are people so quick to criticise someone who is legitimately thought of as one of the best in the world and who has been here a decade and won virtually everything?

Just @££& off - as Kasper might say to a linesman.

Yeah sure, go get a keeper in that might take more time to complete a pass against Burnley so he gets his passing percentage up. I’d rather have one that helped changed the culture of the club.
