Don't think so, they're playing the football he is coaching them to play.

They are not Robots...The players are Accountable to at least bring the basics to their game..!!

In These last few weeks, I actually believe we have improved, but those same Defensive errors, are Really fking us up...

If we hadnt conceded at Set plays, we Really wouldnt of dropped so many points & the mind-Set changes...

Last Night we were playing some of our best football...Then wham..!!  But we hit back, then the same shit for the disallowed goal, and their 2nd.

Where I will agree, its up to Rodgers, to Now sort it out....There might of been some sort of players preference..he has to Intervene & change what ever

the cause may be....A Defensive group usually Set up there own stall..especially at Profi-level...Maybe certain experienced players are Too dictorial, while others Too quiet & easy...

We’re incapable of playing 90 minutes, is it to do with fitness levels or the Manager holding us back?

Yesterday our press and movement first half was very good, second half appalling.

This is a trend I’ve noticed a lot, but it’s usually when we start games we have been passive.

I keep hearing from Rodgers that the players are not following instructions, that for me is the most worrying aspect, have they stopped playing for him?

I think the majority of the team are lacking motivation, I think they see that they’ve won the FA cup they’ve gave 2 extremely close goes at top 4 and didn’t manage it and don’t see what else there is that’s probable

I'm not really sure what happened at half time. They played better than they have in a long time in the first half but they came out completely different.  They should expect Villa would come out fired up after the disallowed goal but they did nothing to counteract that?! They let Villa come forward and win set pieces.  The players look absolutely terrified at every set piece now.  It's so frustrating and frankly inexcusable that the set piece issue has not been sorted out.  Villa have a new set piece coach and yet we still don't.........

They have lost confidence and faith in Brendan which in turn has affected their individual confidence.  Something needs to stop this rot as this is going to affect signings, contract renewals etc.

They'd be quick to find the motivation to engineer moves away though i'm sure.

Tbh I couldn't blame any of them wanting to move on though, playing in this dire style, they're better than this.

Well they did for Claudio.

Did they? Or is that just an easy excuse to make? Is there any evidence of this? Have any of the players actually come out and admitted this?

Or did it all go to rat shit under Ranieri for other more complicated and unknown reasons?

The same things are happening because the players are positioned the same at set pieces. Nothing has changed, hes continuing to set the players up the same way. Allowing the other teams best players to wander freely and unmarked by anyone that is capable of challenging them is stupid as a one off. To keep seeing it cost the team and continue to stick to it is just mental.

The players look like robots, absolutely drilled to the point of having no expression on the pitch and all as meek as the manager when the chips are down.

Were incredibly predictable and this is why semi competent managers with half decent players are continually looking better than us. The only thing keeping us out of a relegation scrap is the talent of the players. They're being managed horrifically badly and have been for some time

@StanSP see. People genuinely do use this time frame lol

Well it's a joke. It's clearly not the worse we've ever played.

Plus I get fed up with "players downed tools". Only ever happens here that.

Brendan is right. He always is. If he keeps doing the same thing over and over it isn’t madness, he’s just waiting for the rest of the league to understand and work with him on it. Currently they’re just exploiting the fuch out of it. They will come round, eventually.

Nobody likes losing especially through poor defending but the reaction to any defeat on here borders on the paranoiac. When we start getting hammered regularly we will know we are in trouble. We could easily have got a result against Villa , we frightened them almost every time we attacked. We are weak in midfield, not offensively but with Ndidi's poor form very much so defensively. The answer, I can't see one at the moment.

Well I don't expect for a moment that any player would admit to that. But there was and still is player power at the club. I think part of the problem is certain players are too close to Top and have influence beyond being a mere player , much closer than any manager. Of course that's just conjecture on my part but it would make an interesting topic on it's own. But I think it has to be part of the reason Kasper hasn't been dropped of late ?

The problem is that we are now playing at the level we should be. We are average in the PL and like it or not, we have been overachieving for the last 2 years. This season West Ham are overachieving.

The PL is highly competitive when you take the big teams away, and the awful ones at the bottom. There is not much in it. Probably 8 to 10 teams fighting for similar positions. Our form is off so we are bottom of that pile.

The worrying thing is, I cannot see that change any time soon. This month could be a killer for us.

We are playing at a level the club should be at I agree but not the level that this current squad should be playing at.

If there are problems at work and your manager is unable to fix things, eventually you’ll lose confidence in them and they will lose your ear.

Said it weeks ago that’s what it looked like to me. I don’t think anyone is downing tools though. Just loss of belief in what he’s trying to do.

I think this is the issue. Two consecutive failures to secure top spot. Partly down to not using players like Praet when things were not going well. Only using Naccho when forced to. IMO not being strong enough on the covid party punishment

I don't think this squad is that superior. Squads definitely better than ours on paper are Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea. I would say possibly Tottenham, Arsenal and Man U as well. Then we would line up with West Ham, Wolves, Everton (at a very big push).

So our squad should finish top half, I would agree with that. And all it takes is bad form and players not turning up and we find ourselves where we are. Brendan takes some blame, but not all. There are just so many things wrong, we need to take them one by one.

Our squad is better than Wolves, Everton and possibly even Spurs.

The only area West Ham are better than us is in attack. I'd love Bowen here. They can choose from Bowen, Benrahama, Antonio.. it's just better than what we have.. but in other positions I think we're better than them.

People were talking how good our squad was in the summer. Now we're not performing it's suddenly not that good?

That really isn’t true.
