Come on boys.

Watching the insufferable aussie coverage on a fox stream.

We look a bit soft.

Need to be asking more questions and getting the batter guessing

Just like Leicester and our defending being an issue for an age, what on earth are England doing with the fielding practice, we have been garbage for so long now without any improvement.

Decent stronghold from Root and Malan. If they can get tons it'll give them lots of confidence to put enough on the board to give Australia too much to chase.

Still two days left in this test so plenty of time. If the whole side can bat til 3rd session there's bound to be a healthy lead.

Not just that, but it gives the bowlers more rest too!

So happy to wake up and see this.

Went to bed shortly after the 8th wicket and still expected to see Lyon and Head batting this morning.

Much better day, and some fight and graft by the top order.

But you can't trust this side. We can still collapse to lose by an inning with 58 left to get parity.

It would be very surprising for the Aussies to have to chase anything more than double figures to win the test in the final inns

This is what winds me up about English sport. The way this is written you'd think Australia were 6 down needing another 180 to win batting last. The words 'stunning comeback' shouldn't be anywhere near the headline. We are still behind in the match and only a bad over or two from being under the cosh again. Why do we gas up achievements before they've happened in this country?

Yeah but we did it 1981 didn't we?

The media really don't help.

It's pretty obvious what will happen tomorrow really...

Root and Malan will both miss out on a ton before lunch and then the Aussies will rip through our middle order with the new ball.

We might end up with a lead of about 80 but they'll easily chase it down without losing a wicket.

So boringly predictable.
