You've got to take the ineptitude of the managers and DoFs into account as well. For example, Rodgers should have seen we needed a goalkeeper desperately instead of going after Jack Harrison, and we would have most probably stayed up. And how Rudkin managed to let around £135m of talent go on a free is unacceptable. 1

But I doubt the player himself will be keen to move to a side likely to be relegated, over sitting tight for 6 months and likely finding a team in a better position than us, and probably on better wages. 1

Lcfcokay Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 surely not a priority position… maybe we looking at playing with 3 at the back with wingbacks from now on?

moore_94 Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Probably need another full back if Thomas goes? (and depending how long until Ricardo is back) Coulibaly and Lamptey for RB JJ and Kristiansen for LB I think JJ has been better for us at left back in his time here as well 3
Haywood_6 Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 This is nuts. Father-in-law is an academy scout at Chelsea actually scouted him for their u18's years ago. The only logical explanation seems to be moving Luke Thomas on and sticking with Justin/Kristiansen as our left-back options. He's an exciting player on his day but that injury record worries me.
The Hitman Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 He’s a lovely player to watch i’d be really happy with this. The only obvious question mark is his injury record.
South Shire Fox Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Bloke is constantly injured. Absolutley not
CaliFOXnia Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 STINKS of us to sign 2 RB’s and f**k all else in a transfer window, doesn’t it..? 😵💫🤦🏼♂️

RowlattsFox Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 If we hadn't signed Woyo, I'd say this was worth a risk. 1
teblin Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Well impressed when fit, can be unplayable attacking wise. But being fit is the issue. 1

Finnegan Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 (edited) I think I've worked it out. Top's latest money making scheme is to sell Netflix the rights to make a pioneering new show going behind the scenes at a professional football club's medical team, narrated by Darren Anderton. Not content with Wilf and Ricky permanently occupying the injury room, we're adding household name, ex Liverpool and Arsenal star Alex Oxlade Chamberlain to the team sheet alongside perpetually wounded, eternal prospect Tariq Lamptey. Fortunately for us, Filip Benkovic is back to free agency so that solves our centre back problems. And just to really round things off, Franny Jeffers is out of work when Ruud gets sacked so we can have someone at the helm that really adds to the narrative. Edited 28 January 2025 by Finnegan 4
