Will be going round Burnley Cricket club at the weekend. And the away end obviously lol

Nice - good luck with it! Keep doing what you guys are doing. Tenner say this takes off and Madders has his own line of JM10 branded dart flights out by the end of the season.

The interesting point about the Holte End is in about 2010. They had a group set themselves with banners, flags etc. Over the next five years, they alienated a few and some of the people involved got banning orders.

By the time that had happened though…..the banners had started to be fixed, the big flags at the front of the stand were permanent etc. Their support on the Holte End realised it needed to be more partisan. I happen to find their songbook a bore; symptom of living in the city I suppose but their constant song is an ultra 101 in Allez, Allez.

The Stratford End has had a singing section for some time now. We’ve spoke here before that in terms of mentality Man U’s hardcore are the nearest to European.

I actually think there’s been a shift in that football is becoming of the few places where people can have an outlet and the penny’s dropping. (Without sounding bad here, it may also have something to do with less tourists visiting the Premier League this season)

Bert, the difference is that anything you’ve said in the past has been constructive and mostly with the best of intentions.

Here we’ve got somebody who has pretty much contradicted himself with each post, hasn’t offered any constructive feedback or offered to step up with anything better. Unfortunately, there are too many others like FoxyJim and nothing will change regarding the atmosphere while that’s the case.

It’s always been with the best of intentions. Of course. I’ve a lot of respect not just as fans, but as people for those of you who I know, we’ve spent many away days together! I may have crossed the line once or twice but sometimes you say things in the heat of the moment.

Why not just when he’s on fine form and everybody loves him?

”We’ve Got James Maddison We've Got James Maddison

or

He’s got an ego he’s got an Ego he’s James Maddison he’ll score when he wants. He cuts to the left he cuts to the right James Maddison he’s our No10 !!

Man Utd's active supporter group had over 3000 members the last time they divulged their numbers publicly. That's lads paid up as members to receive communications etc regarding their main singing block in the Stretford end.

Mental numbers.

Known you a long time and I think I can speak for the both of us in saying we’re both much older and a lot wiser. The group itself has changed for the better over the years. I think everybody involved will admit UFS haven’t always got things right but both the group and those active in this thread all have the same goal - to improve the atmosphere at the KP.

The group can only move forward with constructive feedback and for those with potentially better ideas to step forward.

Would be much appreciated! You’d be more than welcome. Hopefully it’ll be sooner rather than later mate!

Well that's your opinion. The current spot is crap, especially with the Showshec goons being put in there recently to stop anyone standing in the aisles. The spot at the weekend was much better and allowed 600 to get in there instead of about 60.

You say that we need a "full end" singing in unison, that's exactly what UFS are aiming for by pushing for a singing/standing area as part of the relocation

Believe me, no one else is pushing for it.

Assume you mean redevelopment.

But yes getting safe standing in the kop even if it was only the rear half the stand. But all the way across sk1-4 or giving up sk1 and 2 to safe standing would be a huge plus and definitely increase the participation.

And before anyone says it should be in L1 I just don't see any way the club allow that.

What a out something like:

Bow! Ticka-Ticka..

Let's get funky!

So, despite some of the more eccentric suggestions on here, I believe the most popular choice was the darts tune.

Is that the one everybody will be singing when he plays tonight?

...... or is it a mumble of appreciation and a half hearted tap with the clapper?

The below got going.

James Maddison plays
Down at Filbert Way
Then gets pissed at the darts
Oi oi oi
Without any doubt
He shits on Grealish and Mount
Leicester's superstar

oi oi oi

2 blocks away it sounds like a drumbeat and a mumble. Said elsewhere, you guys are great trying to get something going that doesn't involve clappers and goal music but the last Maddison song and the darts one are just over complicated. Doesn't need loads of words, the player just needs to hear his name. Maaaaa-dison, Maaadison.

It isn't going to catch on, not enough know the tune, no-one will learn more than 4 words. You know our fanbase, it needs to be simple.

It really is not that hard this one, really isn't.
Why would we just take the easy and imo lesser option and sing just his name. Fair one people not knowing the words on it yet, get that. But rather than folk moan (not saying you are) they don’t know them, wouldn't it be great if they asked or messaged. Not every Man United fan knows the lyrics to tunes at first but they do something about it themselves to do so.

Along side this I think taking the song book page off the UFS site was a mistake in hindsite as it was perfect for directing folk to.

Got clearer as the evening went on and more people picked up the words and more confident in singing it loudly, as you'd expect. Same as any new chant.

Honestly, SK1 get pelters for singing chants with no words and then get pelters for singing chants with words too. lol

I think the darts music with words is too complicated. Why not just do it as it would be done at the darts with James Maddison replacing the Ooing bit.

It’s just a bit crap though that.

SK1 got the words so the six lines are not beyond anyone.

The tune to the chant itself was audible on the TV. It's a famous sporting tune through association with the darts which has a massive following, and tbf Chase the Sun is a bit of a banger. The 6 lines are simple enough and fit well so it should catch on. If this gets blasted at pubs pre-match and in the concourse it will take off purely because of the popularity of the song.
