Can't believe the reaction on here. Be gutted to lose him

Me too. He’s a top quality player, we just haven’t seen it recently due to a string of injuries. Injuries he picks up through his all action style

He's a quality player when in form. Great outlet going forward and solid in defence. But without looking at stats, I do think he goes about 8 games on and then injured for a period. I'd be interested to know how may separate periods of injury he's had whilst a fox. My instinct is it's a high number.

Definitely a high number. Really not helped though by that freak injury at the Euros and having to cover other absentees when he clearly needed a break himself.

Keep unless he really wants out as still a v good squad player even though his form has dropped off a bit this season. The recruitment team will be busy enough this summer with the amount of players moving in and out due to contracts expiring next year

It's a difficult one with Castagne.

I totally get the point that losing valuable squad players isn't something you want to keep doing, especially as you're trusting our recruitment, with a hit and miss recent record, to replace adequately.

Having said that, I get the feeling Castagne hasn't ever truly settled at Leicester, and if we could recoup £20m plus, it'd be a half decent deal.

If you knew that Ricardo and Justin would recover their top level, it would make the decision easier as he isn't as good as those 2 at their peak.

Hes injured and not expected to return for a few months.

These days teams will still sign an injured player as long as the medical team can prove its not long term .

Saying that I thought he was only out for a few weeks .But I've just it's more likely 8-9 weeks so you could be right .

Yeh I get that but a team is unlikely to spend money on January on a player who us unlikely to be fully fit until next season. I doubt we will see the best of Castagne till next season now, if he's still here.

I like him , but if we can move him on and get our money back or with a profit I'd take it.

If we're trying to get a settled side then you don't need players who are often Injured.

We need to pay attention to the physical aspects of the players we sign and sign players who have both Skill and a physical presence.

This season is nearly over certainly in league terms so start planning for next season.  Move all the surplus players on as soon as we can.

There's very little sentiment in Football only results count.

The Summer Window coming could be the most important in years after the mistakes in recent seasons.

Probably one of the most dependable players in the squad, can't even recall him ever having a game that's been less than about a 7 out of 10.

3/10 games he's injured though, practically half a good player if half the time he's cracked a rib or strained a thigh or lost a contact lense or had part of his face collapsed by a Russian elbow. The bloke seems to be constructed out of waffles.

Genuinely how much percentage time has he missed with injuries here? I'll be happy to consider my opinion if I'm evidently talking shight.

Be interested to know. Seems to always get a 2-6 game run together, develops a niggle and out for up to a month. Was an issue before he came here too. With the amount of other injuries we get it'd be nice to have more reliable players.

We're lacking in experience, especially in defence, and people are suggesting we let one of our established internationals go? Wow.

He was one of our best players for the first few weeks of the season. Not been great recently but has the right, winning mentality that we need more of, based on his comments to media in the first few games of the season.

Some reports are that we're looking to loan him out with an obligation to buy.

If true it probably means that he hasn't settled here and reacts to be back in Italy.

Wouldn’t make sense for the buying club with him out for 8 weeks to loan then buy?

Absolutely. Versatile and reliable. Good going forward and defensively. He's at least a 7/10 every week. Do people think such players are easy to come by?!

7/10 every week???? Absolutely no chance.

People still have rose tinted glasses from his goals and assists early on last season.

He just looks better because the rest of the defence has been in tatters for so long.

Quality player, surely no way we'll get rid! Especially while Ricardo Pereira has shown no sign he can ever be the player he once was.

He's our second best full back surely - thats assuming James Justin can reach his previous heights pre injury too! Why would we sell?
