Dont know if its just me but as a footballer I'd be pretty pissed if some nutters followed me all the way back to my car and were shouting stuff

Shouldn't have signed that new deal then should you?

(I do also acknowledge this is Sky Sports so is probably a load of rubbish but still lol)

Sky doing their level best to get their big transfer this summer before deadline day. .https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12673949/wesley-fofana-unsettled-leicester-defender-feels-foxes-are-pricing-him-out-of-dream-chelsea-transfer

This has gone quiet....

Sky have just literally posted a headline “Fofana increasingly unsettled, thinks Leicester are unfairly pricing him out of a move”…. **** off. We should be able to sue when they post shitty headlines like this.

Exactly what we had with riyad

Our interpretation of an acceptable fee is not the same as the player and his entourage….

yes they were told 2023 at the earliest (apparently) but given the accelerated interest of a big six club, they won’t see the problem with doing it a year earlier - not their problem.  The fee is though …..

You're shit out of luck here Wes, sulk and unsettle the dressing room and you will ride the bench for the next year. I doubt that's what Dechamps would want of a potential squad member

Think Chelsea have backed off - they have another target apparently.

They're in desperate need of goalscorers. Can see them dropping interest if they can get a striker and divert funds that way.

Problem here is that if he doesn't get his move he could play crap / be out of sorts now knowing he's a guaranteed starter just like everyone else.

We're ****ed either way.

I don't think he would because he will know it could put a big dent in his chances of being called up for France for the World Cup if he starts half-arsing it

If he thinks the fee is too high, then he or whoever advised him to sign a five year contract is an idiot.

After watching the weekend, Chelsea will probably drop their offer.

Probably why the agent or Fofana feel the need to speak out.

Expect a lot more noise if another offer hasn’t come in approaching the deadline.

We are being unreasonable with our demands this window as we hadn't struck a deal with the player to be reasonable this window. The 'acceptable fee' applies  for next year

Fofana doesn't strike me as the type to stop playing properly on the pitch just to spite us.

It harms his chances of making the French World Cup squad. I don't think he did it on the pitch at St Etienne.

So I’m reading that article as

We should bend over and  say “oh sorry Chelsea, we’re not worthy. Here have Fofana for £60m and a box of chocs”. Fuchs off, if they did their scouting correctly, they’ll have found him first.

To me it seems like Chelsea are using SkySports to get a lower deal. If he was at any other big six club, he’ll be going for £100m+.

The article doesn’t even make sense. We should accept lower because he’s younger and only one season in the prem. In his brief time in the prem he’s shown how good he is. He’s younger so yes we should demand more.

Pretty sure Kaveh of Sky kept saying we’d agreed a £60m deal for Maguire.

Sky haven’t had an exclusive for about 12 years. It’s another chump taking what’s already known and trying to find their own angle.

The most accurate they’ve said is “AND ITS LIIIIVE” and even then that’s pushing it

I dunno pal - the French love a stroppy mardy arse. Would probably get a call up based on that alone.
