In American sports ie NFL baseball, basketball the 2 stage medical is that the first part is physical and the second mental. The second part they obtain social media accounts etc to determine whether a proposed player is suitable  for integration in a particular team or may prove to be a disruptive character further down the line

He’s ****ed then. lol

...securing his family's future!!!

Has the opportunity to play for a top 6 team, coached by some recently described as the best coach in the world, playing Champions League football and supported by top-class players, pushing and encouraging him to be the best that he can.

If Chelsea does not come in for him, then none of this happens and he is a cheeky chappie and a character who is positive and has a winning smile.

His actions to enable the transfer left a lot to be desired, but at the moment we are getting £70m + for him, he has achieved for us what we wanted from him, money in the bank.

Id imagine that unless his financial adviser is as Shite as his agent then his familys future is already secured.

Can we put 'securing family's future' in the fvcking bin as a point in any transfer related conversation?

They are all, to a man, multi-millionaires. Their future is not only safe but luxury-laden, barring absolute meltdown.

"Securing his family's future" as if he's moving from non league to the Premier League lol

If he knew his leg was bad, it might explain why he and his agent were so intent on forcing this deal through as quickly as possible. This might be the only chance for a huge payday.

nothing concrete, the Chelsea forum says he passed the first part (whatever that means) but its all gone quiet on the second part

Well, the first part is hearing and eyesight, the second part is the screws in titanium leg plate

If he has got a dodgy leg , he ain't going nowhere.

Maybe so, but we should be actively looking to bring in another CB anyway. Either as a replacement for Fofana or simply because our current first choice is Daniel ****ing Amartey!!!

....a bit of a generalization..!!!

Some players have not come through the academies of European clubs, but hail from Africa, Brazil, Algeria, and other countries that seek to find a way to earn a living. They are not well to do with big houses and flash cars and a flash lifestyle, a lot are sending monies home, as a way to make their life better. Nacho I believe is sending money to aid his village. Matheus Pereira took up a contract to go to Al Hillal in order to make good money for his family.

It would be a case of we the Insurers not being prepared to offer long term injury cover as the medical experts consider the injury could manifest again as the bone and ligaments are never completely healed. So Chelsea either run this risk of having to pay any compensation to Fofana out of Boehly’s pocket or call the deal off or try to re-negotiate with us.  Staggered payments linked to game time and such like.  It is fair to say we could be Donald Ducked here if there are issues.

We need Philip Seymour Hoffman in Along Came Polly. (My wife made me watch it honest).

So?

They can do that at any Premier League club with the contracts they're on. They don't need a moves to bigger clubs to secure that.

Ambition is fair enough, but securing family future is not even a consideration given they're already able to comfortably do that.

Even then, the minimum we should expect is professionalism. Players are paid millions having signed a contract. A contract is (or should be) mutually beneficial.

Forcing a move is poor form. I don't care who you are or what your background. Spitting the dummy out while being paid literally millions is the act of a t0sser.

I wouldn’t mind him back. Selling him doesn’t solve our FFP issues. I’m okay with him leaving, too as long as we have replacement(s) lined up.

I'm pretty sure this will still go through.
The delay is probably them putting together some poncy reveal video.

Journalists would have gotten wind of it though, no major transfer is announced out of the blue. Its pedalled for hours and hours, days before hand that all is finalised before revealed.

...it would be revenue coming in that would impact the FFP wages to Revenue ratio!!!

He leg break wasn't that unusual, and he would have been regularly scanned and x-rayed as part of the recover process.

Think people are getting carried away.

This is one weird ****ing summer.

This is a poor management from the board level. All business should have been done at the beginning of summer and we should be shutting out doors to last minute business.

Wasn't it just last season the top brass were saying we don't need the money?

him not leaving would be beyond a disaster for the club. Im all for karma but its us that gets hurt the most here not him.

He's not going to be able to fake that he loves being here again so we are stuck with a snake around the place. No big club will touch him after a deal collapses for medical reasons so we will never get the large fee for him we hoped and he'll probably get rodgers knee before the seasons done.

He will be the next Lamine Kone.

Remember chelsea holding us over drinkwater and done us on silva! It’s happening again I literally can’t believe we are so weak, And falling for their shite again! Rodgers just basically said in the press conference we can’t sign anyone until this dickhe@d leaves! What a mess we are in! Signing a couple of bums on transfer deadline day! Brace yourselves it’s going to be a long hard frustrating season which could end with us in the championship if we continue to run like this
