Would love to see him playing with us , but would have more chance of winning lotto with a ticket. We don’t seem to want to sign players who could really push us up the ladder , all we seem to do is sign kids who then never see 1st team football . We need to change tac

Avoid. I think there's an attitude problem in there and he's not an upgrade on what we have (imho).

Ah the classic Foxestalk attitude theory.

Any footballer that has a social life away from the sport, drives a nice car and likes a holiday must have an attitude problem.

See Raheem Sterling, James Maddison, Demarai Gray, Jack Grealish.

You have no idea what his attitude is like and he is a massive upgrade on Lookman, Perez and Albrighton.

Would have him on loan (option to buy) for the rest of this season as it’s obvious we have no money to buy players, Tielemans will be sold in the summer and we will need to change the way we play without him, maybe Lingard is the way forward if we don’t buy Lookman…

He wants 200k a week and you guys are salivating all over him and he's not even remotely interested in Leicester 😂

He probably earns more now than anybody in our squad , including Vardy.

...for that amount of money, he is pricing himself out of quite a few options!!!

For what he could bring to the club, we could do with him coming here, but we are not going to change our pay structure to do so. Without a transfer fee, we could afford to meet his needs but that could trigger added payments to existing players.

We are not in the financial power of the top 6 clubs to offer players 200k a week. Got my reservations on Lingard, now that that West Ham aren't interested in January he's set his sights on moneybags Newcastle.

Seems like he has a very childish attitude towards his responsibilities

...I would think being brought up in the United dynasty and £200k per week is relative with what is around him!!!

West Ham not picking him up was a surprise, after his performance with them you would have expected them to be first in the queue to bring him in. Prior to going to West Ham this forum was adamant that to bring him in to our club would be a big mistake due to his attitude and what he would bring.

I am not sure we were expecting the figures he ended up posting. We are not going to pick him up.

Not sure what this means, but didn’t he have a tough time and have to care for his younger siblings for a while?

Afew weeks back he was postings pic's on Instagram giving teasing messages towards West Ham, I don't like this kind of behavior when he an employee of Man U.

If Roy Keene and Rio Ferdinand were still around at Man U he certainly would have been sorted out in the dressing room and begin to man up.

You’re splitting hairs. We knew Utd had billions & put a ‘silly’ price on Maguire. What’s the difference, other than one is a loan ?
Even Utd fans know we had their pants down. I for one, am pleased we played hardball.
Man Utd have every right to demand what they want.
Relegation for Newcastle will cost them £150m. £12m is what Man Utd want if the Geordies stay up. Peanuts.

He’ll end up staying at United now, with the Greenwood situation.

Unlikely, but a glimmer we might be still in with a chance of someone this window

Think he'd be great for the dressing room and would get on well with the likes of Maddison and Vardy particularly.

He'd give us some proper depth in creative positions too. If we can't get any defensive reinforcements in, maybe it's a decent shout to get proven PL cover in attacking areas.

Sky saying that Manchester United have today told Jesse Lingard he is not allowed to leave in this transfer window.

Either they want him to remain as cover, or they're trying to call Newcastle's bluff on a fee.

Not sure you've seen the news recently. He's going nowhere cos they have just written off a £45m asset who basically was ahead of him in the pecking order, and they've not got the cover.

Man Utd certainly know how to treat players!
