Anyone know much about Jobe Bellingham, 16-year-old younger brother of Jude?

Made an appearance for Birmingham already, and with the club in crisis, could be worth a punt if developed properly and has half the talent of his older brother.

Yes we should be trying our hardest to get him in. We've not taken advantage of Derby's financial issues either, a few young players there that have bright futures.

Would make perfect sense for players like that to be on our radar, definitely

Thought this was reasonably interesting:

Interesting until that Patrick bloke started spouting shit regarding James Justin.

If we play our cards right, we could have a really good summer. Shift out the right players, and get the right ones in. I imagine that we’ve got some irons in the fire already, and it’s a case of getting stuff done.

Can unfortunately see us getting big offers for Youri, Maddison and N’didi and all three of them go. Then Soyuncu, Iheanacho, Hamza, Perez and maybe Ricardo all leaving for first team football. Hopefully we can get rid of Bertrand as well but can’t see many interested with what he’s on here.

3 blokes that have not watched us play all season and are just reading off a load of stats. Football gets weirder by the week.

Seems like there is a strategy in place as to which way the club is going. I hope that Brendan is going to compile a squad that isn't just 1 dimensional in the way we play but I have my doubts.

We need to get more physicality in the team and I think our ability to see games out would improve with a striker capable of holding the ball up. Would also work well with our runners going beyond a target man.

We need leaders and I would hope to get a bit more experience in the squad.

Out:

Ward (Wants to be first choice. Could raise a bit of capital.)

Soyuncu (Off form for a long time.)

Castagne (Fitness problems, replaceable and could raise funds.)

Tielemans (Wants a move, cash in unfortunately.)

Mendy (Verbally said he wants to leave last year. Best for all parties.

Choudhury (Not up to scratch.)

Praet (Verbally not happy with Rodgers)

Vestergaard (No need to explain)

Bertrand (As above.)

GK - Iverson promoted to squad

CB - Experienced like a Tarkowski

LB- Let Justin play at RB.

CM x2

Target man striker.

First 20 mins was quite good and then it quickly became clear they haven't got a clue about our players.

Very concerned about "overhaul". It rarely works.

We overhauled in 2018, it just took a change in regime for it to really fall in to place.

Surely we should be looking to cherry pick the best young talent from Derby. They clearly have to get money in and quickly so it makes sense to take

advantage of their situation.

Think it's too late, already done by the likes of Chelsea and Palace.

Rodgers didn't even say overhaul to be fair, he called it a refresh

"There’s no doubt we need to make changes come the summer so we will need to refresh the squad as we’ll be over three years. We’ll look to improve the players we have.”

I think with Tielemans going it will merely be a natural occurance. It could also serve to progress us ... as long as Top doesn't listen to too much Rodgers blarney and bullshit and allow him to have any say on incomings. Our previous recruitment model is proven in a majority of cases and make money also. If Rodgers doesn't like it he can do one. That way if he does, we're not left lumbered with his dross like Perez, Vestergaard and Bertrand.

Palace have had an overhaul and I think in time it will prove to be some great business. I really feared for them last summer and yet they got so many shrewd deals done. Not yet made huge difference to league position from some of the turgid Hodgson years but it will come.

Love Vardy to pieces, but think we need to be looking to build a team around  Daka or Kel.

We need a quality RW, CB, CM

Even better, hopefully we build the team around daka and kelechi

Potentially Out:

Youri

Soyuncu?

Perez?

Evans?

Mendy

Albrighton?

Bertrand/Vestergaard?

They're the ones I can think of that a) want to go or b) we will want to shift or c) we receive a good enough offer for to sell ie. Youri.

Hopefully we get good enough fees to re-invest, especially given the fact we didn't buy anyone in January.

Defence generally needs heavy investment anyway.

Kasper/Evans/Vardy nearing the end of their careers. Kasper and Vardy I think should/will stay til they retire. Evans too injury prone to be reliable, unless we sign other CBs so that he doesn't play every game. If Fofana signs a new deal that'll be massive.

Hopefully players like Maddison, Pereira, Barnes, Castagne stick around. Losing Youri is bad enough as the one big player to lose. Soyuncu has become less of a valuable asset to lose (I'd still keep him but I think he'll seek a move).

Can feel like there's a new era to build the squad around if we don't lose lots of players - Justin, Daka, Fofana, Iheanacho, KDH Maddison, Thomas, Barnes, Castagne etc...

The disadvantage of such a summer (if it pans out) is that a new squad with loads of new players doesn't always gel so quickly and may take time to do so. I just pray and hope that we reinvest wisely!

Dont see Evans, Sharky, Vestergaard going anywhere.

Evans and Sharky because they still add a lot of value and experience to our squad. Vestergaard because his contract runs for 2,5 more years. Would be hard to get rid this summer.

Our recruiment prior to Rodgers still served up some absolute dross whilst also bringing in some quality players, I don't think it has changed THAT much

Many have been predicting it and it makes sense. Plenty of contracts coming to an end. The team's come to the end of its cycle and it does need a bit of a reshuffle.

Tielemans and Soyuncu are the obvious starting points but you'd imagine it'll be more than just those, based on that. I think we've seen the best of Vardy/Evans as well.

Am worried that we're not going to buy well. We've had very mediocre windows since summer 2018.

I very much disagree with Castagne.

FT has been slating the man way too much in recent weeks. He got played through niggles, barely got rest, had to fill in left and right and always did a solid job. We need players who can just deliver a solid 7/10 week in week out, not to mention he's a great utility player.

Problem is he isn't satisfied as a Utility player and isn't as good as James Justin. Let him go and let's get a proper LB in next season.
