He’s a car crash regardless I think. I’ve seen enough to convince me that he isn’t good enough - he really is making a career from six good months at this point.

...you really do not lose that talent overnight!!!

He is a top class defender, we have just not developed him as much as we should have. If he leaves he will go abroad and have a coach which will work and develop him into the player we saw before. It maybe being a leader, is not his strong point, and a strong minded player alongside him is what he needs, but he has been working in a chaotic and struggling backline, and a coaching group which has struggled to improve and get the best out of him.

There is some proper guff in this squad but I can't see us getting rid of Vestegaard, Bertrand and Perez all in one window.

Statue of Rodgers if he does.

Perez, get rid even if it’s for £5m, there’s no point paying him £50-80k pw to not play him.

Not wanting to sell to avoid such a big loss by holding onto him whilst his contract runs down would be daft.

The same applies to Vestergaard.

Bertrand we might have to pay off.

Mendy & Praet will be off.

Tielemans and Soyuncu, sell whilst we can.

Ww have to be shrewder with our wage budget too.

....it is really strange with those three, they are a bit of an enigma!!!

Vestergaard playing international football and being successful in tournaments, Bertrand who although may be on the slide, can be a useful addition to the club on and off the pitch. Covid seems to have put paid to what ever he was looking to bring into the club on the pitch, and subsequent analysis of Covid sufferers, proving deterioration within the lungs  being picked up by MRI scans. Perez who was seemingly looking like he was now comfortable in his own skin, playing for us, and yet has failed to have much game time or trust from the manager who chose to play him every game in spite of his short comings.

I am going to sit and wait...

Frustrations on game day is enough, starting to assume who might go ,who might stay, who I want arround...

Waste of the old Grey cells...I support the squad at the time of gameday...

Tenerife on loan for Ayoz, Championship club/ contract termination for bertrand and if we are extremely lucky a newly promoted side for Jannik

Brendan had a dream

To overhaul our team

With a load of dross and

a couple of players on loan

Vestergaard at the back

Cantwell in attack

13th place

We'll probably take that

Dream 25 man squad of:

Vardy Daka Iheanacho

Antony Barnes Lookman / Albrighton

Maddison de Katelaere

Dewsbury-Hall Caqueret Soumare

Ndidi Kamara

Thomas Justin Ricardo Castagne

Diego Carlos Fofana Evans Colwill Amartey

Schmeichel Ward

8 Incoming including Lookman would probably cost at least £150 million lollll

Choudhury Mendy Praet Perez Tielemans Soyuncu Vestergaard Bertrand, if we're very lucky we could raise £40-50 million for Tielemans and £60 million for the rest, as well as send Vestergaard and Bertrand out on loan

Realistically we might have to sell Iheanacho to a top tier club that will pay good money to start him every week. I would hate to see him go but to be honest he is to good to sit on our bench and he is imo the player we could sell for the most money who's loss would hurt us the least. Could replace him with Dennis from Watford.

It would be silly to sell Iheanacho, Vardy isn't going to last forever and we have seen that like now when we have both Vardy and Daka recovering from injury we haven't a striker.

Iheanacho is about to hit his prime and it isn't easy to getting a goal scorer, there's half a dozen EPL teams desperate for a striker. It isn't easy to  find one that can score  and after all his heroics in the FA cup campaign and EPL goals last season.....we can't sell him

Thought this was reasonably interesting:

Great thing about FD is that Hammill has good background knowledge of Leicester (as he’s from here) despite supporting Celtic. He made a great video looking at the rise of Hamza Choudhury, well worth a watch

That's an opinion I respect for sure, I think Iheanacho could be one of the best strikers in the league given enough gametime in the right setup, I really think he has a very well-rounded skill set. I guess if he is happy to stay here and fight for his place then we should keep him, but I would not want him to run his contract down and lose him for little when he could go for a huge sum like £80 million this summer, let's say to Chelsea who would have given up on Werner by then.

If we got in players of suitable quality to replace him and improve the squad like Dennis and Antony I personally wouldn't be opposed to selling him.

Anyone know much about Jobe Bellingham, 16-year-old younger brother of Jude?

Made an appearance for Birmingham already, and with the club in crisis, could be worth a punt if developed properly and has half the talent of his older brother.

Out:

Soyuncu £20m

Tielemans £50m

Praet £15m

Castagne £20m

Perez £5m

+ hopefully other dross like Vestergaard

In:

1) CB - Ginter free

2) CB - Colwill £20m / Schlotterbeck £20m

3) RB - Ramsay £7m

4) CM - Gallagher £40m / Aouar £25m / Kokcu £20m

5) LW - Lookman £15m / Lewis-Potter £20m / Brennan Johnson £20m

6) ACM / SS - De Ketelaere £30m / Blas £15m / Yusuf Demir £7m

7) RW - Madueke £25m / Tsygankov £20m

I think right wing is the most important position yet again and we have to get the right player in. Still curious as to what's going to become of Noni Madueke, he's had a shocker of a season do to injury and off the field antics, but the talent is there.

Other mentions depending on money. Odin Thiago Holm is a star in the making, will be a top 5 European league playmaker for club and country. Snap him up and loan him out if needs be.

Matías Soulé from Juventus, if they come knocking for Tielemans then demand him to be included. Very raw left footed right winger, I was going to include Patrik Walemark who's mustard but he's just gone to Feyenoord and Amoo who we were linked with has gone from Hammarby to Copenhagen so both will be followed closely to see how they step up. Talking of Feyenoord, they've also snaffled another rough diamond I'd unearthed in Cole Bassett from the MLS. Another to keep an eye on.
