….. 42 years ago today aged 6 years old my Dad took me to Filbo for the first ever time to watch City play Swansea, we drew 1-1 and I missed our goal as I was in the loo 😂 best memory was hearing Layla by Derek and the Dominos blasting out on tannoy, love hearing that song now as it always reminds me of that evening

Great memories. Did your parents keep this for you and give it you when you were older?

Also, the days when the billboards were local building and skip hire firms rather than far eastern seedy casinos.

I'm not entirely sure.  I have a programme from 1985 against Liverpool which we lost 0-1.  But i have memories of seeing us draw 3-3 with them, that would have been the previous season April 1984....but i don't have the programme....so can't be sure.

Mine was a boring draw at home can’t even remember who it was against I was that young. My dad always said I don’t know how you still liked football after that game lol

5-0 Vs Wolves in about 1983. Lineker, Lynex and Smith up front. I was completely hooked. Just looked it up and the attendance was only 13,300, no wonder they were giving 30 free tickets to primary schools!!!

First Leicester match: 1 nil friendly win v Portadown in 2000 (Peter Taylor's 1st summer in charge)

First competitive Leicester match: 2 nil win v Middlesbrough in 2010

1980 lost at home to Brighton and had 2 goals disallowed and 2 pitch invations! Utter carp and boring from what I remember so I ended up watching the egg chasers and didn't return for another 7 years!

A 4-2 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesdays. Nigel Pearson was playing for Wednesday and I have a vague memory of David Oldfeild scoring an overhead kick!

I was at that game, and a crowd of 13,300 was considered a really big turn out at the time. Most home games were 9-10,000

I always remember hearing these at matches that I attended:

Fox on the run - Sweet

Part of the union - Strawbs

I wish it could be Christmas every day - Wizzard

It was great when the tannoy stopped the music before the end of the song, and you knew that our players were about the come out of the tunnel

Leicester 3-0 Brighton - 6th April 1991. I don't remember it. Or the 0-0 against Oldham a few days later.

My first memory is my 3rd match in the Double Decker with the 1-0 win over Oxford to keep us up. Even then the memory is more of the massive pitch invasion after than the game itself.

I can’t exactly remember my first game as I was only 4 or 5 . I definitely went to other games before this but the first one that left a huge impression on me was when I was 6 in jan 2006 I went to the fa cup game vs Tottenham where We were 2-0 down and the least likely people at the time elvis Hammond, Steven Hughes and mark de vries! Sorced a last minute winner to win the game 3-2!
